Lost my Casino Heist progress after finishing my preps and randomly joining another Casino Heist.

I've got Artwork and done all the setups at least the most necessary ones. Feeling like helping someone else complete their Casino Heist, I joined a random Casino Heist via the quick job menu on my phone and got into the heist. I completed the heist but the celebratory cutscene showed me at MY Arcade instead of the host's Arcade and it said I've "done" Artwork at the results screen when we actually did cash on their one. I went to the basement in my Arcade and the planning board was like as if I completed my own heist where it's near blank. 

I have no idea why is this bug happening after spending a whole hour doing the set ups for Artwork only for it to disappear with a near blank whiteboard after I competed a random persons Casino Heist.

So does it mean that if I have cadino heist preps in progress and i join doomsday heist I lose my casino heist prep progress?

No, it's only Casino Heist on Casino Heist violence. Doomsday and the old heists are not affected by this.

Quick Job is fine as long as you resign from CEO or MC before you do it, that's what causes yours to get wiped.

 

It's also a way to dodge the 1h cooldown, but barely worth it to drag some cretins through Bugstars.

Here is what happened:

The host disconnected his internet at the very end of the heist, before it saves his heist as complete (but he DOES get his cut) so that he can repeat the finale over and again.

Meanwhile, since the host has left, the game suddenly decides that you are the host now, and marks your heist as completed. Especially if you were registered as CEO/MC when you joined.

This thing will also happen with Bogdan heist. If you are sitting on a Bogdan finale, don't join someone else who is "glitching" theirs.

How do you know if they are “glitching” their heist ?

You don't, unless you ask or they tell you. That's why you should always disband your own CEO/MC before joining someone else's CEO/MC/heist, just to be safe.

That way, when you are not together in a session after the job, you won't be still CEO/MC who just completed a heist, which the game assumes was your own.

Doing the replay glitch? Yes.

Calling Lester to cancel it? No. Only possible after completing all 3 strategies. And you want this ability, so you have some control over the vault contents when your favourite approach is on Hard difficulty.

In case you ask this because you got stuck on your chosen approach, don't worry, you can always do all the optional preps (or buy them) to make it easier.

And get the level 2 keycards, not level 1. If you have problems at the party in the croupier mission, switch sessions to get the valet mission.

 

But more importantly, do the scope properly. A lot of people fail because they did not scope the security tunnel and the sewers, because the game doesn't tell them to. Look it up on youtube.

Silent&Sneaky is simple, staff door in, staff door out.

But if you're doing Big Con for the first time, you should be doing Gruppe6.

And for Aggressive, you want sewers entry. Your team will be more motivated the closer you start to the vault.

 

In case you failed Duggan Shipments, don't worry

• For Aggressive: wear your own Heavy Reinforced Armor, and you can do it even with the cheapest gunner. Your mileage may vary, but I pulled it off with a full team of randoms, using sewer entrance.
• For Big Con: don't even do Duggan Shipments, all your kills will be meelee, no shooting to stay undetected.
• For Silent&Sneaky: shoot the armored guards with 2 players at a time to kill them faster, or meelee them.
