1.6mil wizards ruin high score and no trophy

Just had a run where I tried ending around 994 points before the last boss, now the award counter says 945 (was 910 or so before), so something happened for sure. It might be that the counter only updates if your treasures are < 950k > your old score

How do you do to keep a track on the treasure value ?

You're 100% sure that you did no mistake ?

 

We'd actually need a determinated pc player to help us understand how and when the treasure value increases exaclty

I'm not an expert into cheat engine, but that doesn't seem really hard to do

You must link gta to cheat engine, kill the 2 first leprechaun, they'll drop 2 pile of money, collect one of them, your treasure value must be 2000, so search 2000 in cheat engine, you'll have lot of result, the next steps is to refine the result list until there's only 1

So collect the other pile of money, treasure value must now be 4000, search 4000 in cheat engine (next scan, not new scan), the result list will be smaller

 

Then play and keep collecting treasure, often search your new tresure value in cheat engine, until there's only one value

 

Then play normally and you'll see that value increases in cheat engine as you collect treasures in game

I am on PS4 too, otherwise this goddamn award would be mine by... shadier ways. I counted the treasure as i went along. Which is not a great method lol. So I definitely cant guarantee to have made no mistake. I messaged WildBrick, he is looking at the game code a lot so maybe he can find out more, but he is busy with other stuff I think. If we understand why the bug happens then maybe we can find a workaround.

It f*cking worked. Video uploading soon. just did what the chinese guy did in the video I posted before. Platform PS4

 

EDIT: Goddamnit, the video is typically ps4 15min lenght so it starts halfway in stage 3. In stage 1 I got the bonus for 2 lives and 10% health, in stage 2 about 20 to 30% health and 2 lives as well

I honestly cant say for sure. I think if you go over 950k by too much it fails. Maybe you even need to hit exactly 950k, I cant tell.

Well yeah it's obvious that if you get too much it fails. But if getting exact amount really works then damn..

But that is the point, it is not as obvious. Maybe gaining too many points from end-of-level scores is what triggers it, I cant tell

Well, i finished a 3rd game with exactly 950k and still no award, there's obviously something else than just finishing with exaclty 950k

Your score needs to be 1mil +/- 4k before entering last boss fight according to that Chinese player. Pushed it to 947:| This is getting annoying.

But how ? Your treasure value cannot be 950k if your whole score is 1M...or can it ?

You need to keep an eye out for your health and lives at the end of the stages. If you finish each stage with full hp your score will be 25k points higher than the reference videos'

Hmm I've inspected that full run which supposedly worked too and guy got overall 10,1k bonus from health/lives (could be 10,15k, but I'm not exactly sure if wizard gave him extra 50pts for health or some other sh*t). Maybe if you track your own precise bonus amount from health/lives you could finish it with more and just overcompensate in loot.

I assume overall trash mob kills could also have play in this, tldr this could be a bit more complicated or need some luck if you don't want to overmath..

F*ck yeah, after around 40 hours of grind finally lucked out and got it. At first got stuck at 947k, then 948 and even 949, almost gave up, but damn this worked. Thanks for all the tips.

Worked. Finished each stage w 2 lives, last lvl w 1 and very low health. Total score was 1001331. Accidentally grinded spiders to a bit above 800K, but left some treasures in the last stage behind, entering the final boss battle w a score around 995K.

Omg...i was following videos on youtube about this and so far what i think i understood you had to go with less than 1M, let's say 995k-997k to the final boss and in each boss level you had to beat them with very few health. And it didn't worked. But, seeing by your statement, then, it only works if not only go with 995k-997k to final boss, you need to beat each boss level with only 2 lifes left? If so, last boss can i finish with 2 lifes left or needs to be with only 1 life left?

The funny thing is that R* made the trouble, idk when, to put a warning how you left the game (it's a warning in the right low corner of the arcade screen) bcz a lot of people struggled with not knowing which button would exit the arcade machine games, but they don't fix the tham reward?

The number of lives you have when finishing a stage adds to your score, which is what we try to avoid in this case. So try to keep the numbers low. My try w 2 lives for stages 1-3 and 1 life for stage 4 was within the frame of points the game allows for unlocking the coin purse award.

Well, i'm drained from doing Wizard's Ruin. And i will give it a big F. Screw the damn game. I passed the game like maybe more than 10 times doing different kind of stuff and doing for last your way and it was like 3 or 4 attempts. I even used the arcade machine from the Agency to see if the bug was connected to the arcade machines inside the Arcade Shop, but no, same result. I didn't got the reward neither the t-shirts for it.

 

I will not touch that damn game until R* (if) fixes the damn problem. -_-'

Well don't hold your breath man... It's been 3 DLCs without a fix even though they keep claiming that they are aware of it. Wouldn't be surprised if even this method stopped working after update knowing R*'s track record.
