Aside from dailies, what is the currently best way to grind gold bars?

I made route, which contains 10 markers, all of them treasure maps on trees or treasure hunters...

I did two runs around and got 2 treasure maps, both the same location (the abandoned village at the dakota river).

So 2 Gold in about 30 minutes is ok....

Just an fyi for those who might not know, you can drop a bounty off in any town with a jail regardless of where it tells you to go originally. Good way to run up the clock and end up somewhere with a fresh $$$ bounty ready to go.

So true!

This week it is 2x on free mode events!

^^ lol Nah, an oversight--they probably forgot to add the code check verifying which jail they originally asked for.

I'm not so sure. I think the routine is to plot a route to the nearest jail (or prison wagon if it spawned with the mission) when the player has control of the target. The path doesn't update until control is regained - the target escapes, or just get off and on the horse. If you ignore the path and take a shortcut to the nearest jail then the path would update when the player dismounts and grabs the target.

That's my working hypothesis anyway. It seems to fit observations but I haven't really tested it much.

That might also explain why every so often, it bugs out, and you'll get to the designated jail, only for it to direct you to a prison wagon somewhere else... :turn:

Yea, we do Ukon Nik and Wolfman and bring the bounty to Valentine because there is more to do there while we run the clock down.

so one "run" is just visiting all of the spawn points, or do you stop after getting 2 maps?
Wonder if there's a reset timer for the spawns

Haven't gone on a full run yet, want to give it a try

Thanks

Lately I've been going for Bounty Hunter dailies and working in some good old fashioned Stranger Missions to make extra gold while I work towards other dailies.

When i started bounty from Saint Denis then the game tell to go to Gray Woolen Mill just beside Rhodes Sheriff Office to scope and whatever. Catched the bounty but if i remember correctly i couldnt drop the bounty at Rhodes jail. Any explanation will be much appreciated since it doesnt make sense to me.

Both. Of course I Made a Route to visit Them all, and after 2 "rounds" I found 2 maps. I didnt continue, because I got bored very fast.

Hmmm weird. Maybe there's an exception if the bounty is extremely close to a sheriff?

I wonder if it's since been patched by R*, seeing as the game specifies a delivery location? I'm pretty sure R* didn't intend for just any location to work.

You've been able to reroute bounty destinations since day 1 and I can say for sure you still can as of last night. My best guess is that @DontGetClose1990 encountered some kind of bug due to the bounty mission being unusually close to Rhodes jail.

Whoever design this specific mission are retarded. Im sure most of us who plays Rockstar Games understand what "Rockstar Logic" is.

At first this is what i believe but since we can reroute the drop off location that was great. But they didnt include the coding or whatever its called about that mission in Rhodes.

I assume it's already been said but $$$ Bounties. If you have the stomach to grind them all day you can make near the same amount as from a 21-day plus Daily Streak.

All bounties pay out the same gold. So it doesn't matter if comparing to 21-day plus Daily Streak. But damn it gets mind numbing grinding bounties lmao.

Edit- I really shouldn't have bumped this topic. I'm dumb.
