Mister Pink
Lazlow is the voice of GTA radio. As far as I'm aware he was mostly responsible for all of the radio content and it's satire. And it's been some of the best satire I've heard. Each game has some golden radio adverts that take the piss in a very funny way. Not to mention Lazlow's alter-ego as a washed-up radio host. I think Lazlow may have been inspired by British comedy with that angle. We have guys like Alan Partridge (played by Steve Coogan) who is essentially Lazlow in the UK. He's cringe-worthy. He's washed up. His career in media goes from low to low with sporadically mild highs. He's a radio host as well and I wouldn't be surprised if Lazlow got a lot of inspiration from that character. I think Lazlow is a staple of GTA. His mark on GTA is a trademark of the GTA series. I remember watching a talk he did. And he goes into how they're able to be so successful in comedy, notably political humour - and this is even more relevant today, more than than ever - but he mentions how they are successful with GTA humour, and the key is making jokes at the expense of both sides of the political spectrum. That may seem kind of obvious but it's when comics, TV shows, take a hard-left or hard-right stance where they alienate the other half of their audience. Good comedy should poke fun everywhere. And Lazlow knows this. But that always stuck with me that talk. Now, GTA V's humour was bit lacking in my opinion. I think Fame Or Shame is low-hanging fruit. It's old reality TV. It might have been relevant in 2005. But making fun of talent contests was too bubblegum, too vanilla a subject matter and too obvious. I think they could have went for something more subversive or relevant like satirizing Joe Rogan Experience or comedians with podcasts which every comic seems to have. That's just my opinion. But modern L.A. as city to satirize is boring at this stage. It's not inspiring to say the least. I think that's why we need a Boston in 1980's just get something fresh. Sometime new to inspire the satire. Anyway, I wish Lazlow all the best. I'm very grateful for all the laughs. It's a shame him and Houser are now gone. It's like The Smiths breaking up or Roger Waters leaving Pink Floyd. It's sad when group of creatives build this thing and then you love it and now many key members call it a day. And I wonder if Lazlow recorded for GTA VI? Will we hear him then? Would be nice to know if we'll get him one last time. End of an era. Respect to Lazlow. All the best man. Here's a link to that talk he did... KGBeast
I honestly hope Lazlow is doing well and everything turns out alright for him. I think people underestimate just how substantial his impact on GTA and Rockstar at large was. This is a serious blow and seems to finally be waking a lot of people up about what is happening with this company. Seven years of awful practices and virtually every person who made the company and games what they were out the door. The fact we still have blind zombie consumers wandering around pretending everything is fine has long since stopped being funny and is now simply sad. The stoney face of Senor Risitas says it all. Adrenalist
I am saddened to hear of the tragedy Lazlow has been enduring. It’s a very painful thing and I hope he’s doing as well as he can regarding his current situation. As a content creator, I thought he was decent. And while he made me chuckle a few times in GTA 3, I found it odd how people here glommed on to him and requested he be in the next GTA. I just didn’t find his performance particularly engaging enough to warrant the fandom. But his fans were rewarded and I was stuck listening to his irritating voice many games over. I’m glad for the change. And I’m not reluctant to say it was long overdue. I am however, saddened to see the most unfortunate circumstance that led to his departure. That said, writers for sitcoms come and go. Some are more talented than others. This is the natural ebb and flow in content creation. And there is a ton of talent to pick and choose from. As long as Sam is behind the wheel, I think we’re good. universetwisters and Mister Pink

Mainline421
Am I the only one who liked the Lazlow character? Definitely the most hilarious bits of the radio. The next GTA won't be the same without him he's the only character to appear in ever 3d GTA! Looks like Garbut and Sam are now the only members of the primary creative team from the inception of R* left. Really wondering what the next GTA will look like without them all, especially with plan for "smaller games at launch" I fear updates may end focusing too much on Online, not leaving me feeling too optimistic of getting something as impressive as IV, V, or RDR2. Rushki
Well it seems like they removed Lazlows char from the Nightclub. I can't find him anywhere in the nightclub. Just via phone at missions etc. Or is it just me?

When Strauss Zelnick met with Trump 2 years ago to discuss violent video games they listed Strauss Zelnick as CEO of Rockstar Games not Sam What if just like the GTA Online credits and the Benz situation Sam took that personally lmaoo. Arthur is Dan? Hosea is the Benz? Certainly has some credence to it.
