Mexicola9302
I finsihed the trilogy yesterday night, it was very good, but the ending was pretty depressing, only having bad choices. I hope there will be a ME4 with Shepard again. ME3 was so much better than ME1 and ME2, i mean wow im glad i pulled it through. My favourite part about 3 is that I actually felt like I was in a war for the galaxy. Especially on the Turian moon and on Earth near the end. The team did a really good job of capturing that feeling. Mexicola9302 and trip
Jason
ME3 is a fantastic game that had such a poor ending it basically scarred the entire game. It's really, really good up until that ending. There's rumours (leaks?) to suggest Shepherd may be back for the new game, which... I dunno for me. We'll see how they do it but I'd sort of liked a new protagonist, perhaps with Shepherd as character you interact with. trip, Mexicola9302 and Slappy212
trip
2 is my favorite, but 3 was just so much Mass Effect. I thought they retooled the ending a bit? I haven't played it since the original ending everyone hates. I know nothing. I haven't played the remastered 3 yet and for the past few days I've been about to fire it up. Bittersweet- I started a new formal job this week...cutting into my endless happy leisure game time. For any of you that use Kodi with The Crew addon...did ya'll notice the background is the entire ME crew? I loved when it clicked in my head. I was like "wait...what...is that"? Also they released a piece of DLC (that was very well received) that I believe basically serves as one big piece of fan service before you go past the point of no return. So it's less of a retooling of the ending and more they soften the blow of how underwhelming it is. They didn't (and probably couldn't) fix the actual issues with it. Andromeda and Anthem kinda reflect that they weren't good games. If Shepard returns they are going to butcher the writing and screw up even more. There's also the big elephant in the room they're going to have to choose a canon ending and it will piss off a few people. Jason
Honestly I think picking a canon ending is really, really, really, really easy. Kill the reapers ending. Safest one out of the lot lol. For me I just think Shepherd's basically been through too much at this point, how many times can you take him/her down to their barebones and have them build themselves up again from both a story and gameplay (player power/levels) perspective again? Think I'd prefer a brand new character my self, but Andromeda may have put a pin in that.
trip
I chalk Andromeda up to the bad graphics and voice work. How did that even happen? I mean 3 looked fantastic! New character is fine as long as they keep all the other core species. That is ME. I've said it many times but as a Star Was kid growing up seeing (and loving) the 70's/80's Star Wars...ME is the closest game that makes me feel as if I'm living in some galaxy far far away. Not joking. My crappy games at MyCrappyGames.com Free copy of Save The Puppies and Kittens
Jason
Andromeda was just... flat. It had tons of potential but they failed to really use any of it. They went to a whole new galaxy and yet the species diversity was sh*te compared to ME1, and despite this being a brand new galaxy they all spoken the Queen's English perfectly. A large part of the story was centered around humanity finding a new home, venturing into new lands, meeting new species... and it ultimately failed completely in all aspects of that. The open worldy design was also a failure. It was likely done due to the success of Dragon Age Inquisition but that design became dated very quickly. The open world zones were static-y and felt dead and uninteresting, and, again, for a game that was centered around exploring a new galaxy it just didn't hit the spot. The highlight is the best combat in the series, something which did benefit somewhat from the open world design but they could have easily replaced the open worlds with large and more open linear levels and still had the best combat in the series. My hope for ME4 is that they return to the trilogy style level design but they take it to the next level, basically linear level design with light exploration mixed with large open hubs (like the citadel) with quests and exploration. Zello
What happened to that whole western Cowboy theme they were trying to go with the first trailer in Andromeda? I guess they abandoned that quickly

Something personal, like a revenge story about a mercenary or a detective story where you play as a C-Sec officer. You get the point. Bioware has to tone it the f*ck down. They keep making the same story about saving everything, over and over again and it's the dumbest and laziest thing that you can do when you have such a beautiful and massive universe that is simply begging to be explored in more detail. The reason why Mass Effect 2 is considered by many to be the best in the trilogy is precisely because the story felt a bit smaller and more intimate. The potential for an Expanded Universe kinda deal is simply extraordinary. It's too bad that Bioware can't see it.
Jason
Start the game on the Citadel, as a C-Sec office, main story line starts out as a simple case that becomes part of something bigger. Involve the corporations in the ME universe, bring some racial politics into it all. ezclap. Something like that I think is what I want from ME4 and a potential new trilogy, we had the galaxy ending threat with the OG trilogy, give us a story and a look at the ME universe when there's not a world ending thread hanging over everyone's head. They don't need to make a trilogy out of it. Developers should revert to making smaller, but more creatively fulfilling games with a lot of replay value. My favorite part of ME2 was when we were around Omega and dealt with the underground criminal element there. A whole game based around that would be awesome. 3 hours ago, Jason said: Start the game on the Citadel, as a C-Sec office, main story line starts out as a simple case that becomes part of something bigger. Jason
Yea Omega is definitely one of the highlights of the entire trilogy. Would just love a ME game that lets us live in the world, rather than rushing about trying to save it.

They could make a game about Garrus during his time on Omega as Archangel and I bet it would sell.
