Mik73 Posted August 11, 2020 Share Posted August 11, 2020 PS4: 3 attempts to start the game for first time after 1.21 patch was applied: 3 times the splash screen comes up, freezes for 3 or so minutes, then hard crash/power-down of PS4. Direwrath Posted August 11, 2020 Share Posted August 11, 2020 On Xbox one both me and my daughter played today for a few hours and we had no problems with the animals spawning, ironically I was able to get the "do not kill any animals within 12 hrs" daily done with how many were running below the feet of my horse. We both got disconnected one time, mine was a hard crash straight back to the xbox home screen. There were some graphical glitches, like when we rode into Valentine the insides of the buildings were lit up with all sorts of colors. And the npcs were acting strange, spawning and disappearing or walking in place while in their chairs. There was a moment after a hideout that my horse would not budge and I couldn't look at my wheel while I was in the saddle, but it seemed that getting off the horse fixed it. In another horse incident I could not see the lower section of my wheel so I couldn't change outfits or anything. The spaces were empty. After we did a bounty it was working again. Unfortunately they did not truly fix the hair issue, my daughter's hair still sits high and sticks out backwards when she wears certain outfits. On a good note, it appeared like many of the strangers were working, which they were not the past few times I played, and all of the bounty missions and random encounters were working right. Even the players were in decent spirits, posses were crowding the towns and getting along rather well. I love the game when everyone is like this. Tried to load again and the game crashed. Third try I ended up right into a solo session. I thought cool, here goes. Hit a moonshine still clear out, and could not fire at any NPCs. It's a weird case, for me, it worked fine the first time I logged in and stayed like that for a while, up until a certain point in which it fallen into utter chaos. Commander S Posted August 11, 2020 Share Posted August 11, 2020 Xbox One X: the network errors are gone, and I managed to play for a couple of hours with only a few issues - horses around Valentine glitching in place, not being able to summon my horse straight away, etc. Fast-travelled to somewhere else, and everything went back to normal, and I got on with a bunch of bounty hunter/collector dailies just fine. Came back for another go later, bounty boards were greyed out, and there didn't seem to be an NPC in sight - and then the game froze and crashed. Restarted my console, same again - came back even later (after turning the console off for a few hours, then trying another game first), and ...same yet again (no NPCs, bounties not working, and then freeze/crash). If i find a animal - cant shoot it. Ghost waggons traveling around (no drivers). I did clear the cache and all this stuff - nothing changed. Game is now completely useless. I was just able to complete the crustacean & venison seasoned meat cooking dailies (thanks Wilderness Camp!) and the bullrush picking one before getting the blue crashed game screen. I would estimate that I was in the game for about 10 minutes, had only 9 other players in the session and didn't see any animals (I did hear nearby ducks but saw none in Eagle Eye). And wagons without a driver. But these aren't new bugs, they're the re-appearance of old bugs. Occasionally you will see one that has a driver, but the game prevents players from pulling the trigger when aiming at them. I was able to shoot horses though. I headshot and the vanish into thin air. WTF did Rockstar do? Holy hell what a mess. WOW, guess what? As I’m writing this the game freezes and dashboards me. A driverless carriage sped past me on the foggy cobblestones of Saint Denis, it's horse protesting all through. I continued forward, repeater in hand, and turned down a darkened side street. Quickly, I was landed upon by the piercing spotlight of a Cornwall Street car sitting quietly in the gloom. I sped up it's stairs and looked through it's rows, but finding no one looked to get off. It was as I stepped back to the road that I saw a quick shine in the alley, a glimmer of movement! I rushed at it, desperate for some sort of simple interaction! But then, just as I rounded the old brick wall and burst through the iron gate, An error has occured in the following application. einjzmolf Posted August 11, 2020 Share Posted August 11, 2020 yeah i just logged in to do some dailies and the game world was extremely unsettling one npc spawned into view as soon as the game loaded, immediately started driving their carriage in place. aim pistol, locks to horse. pull the reticle towards the driver - reticle greys out. fast travel to valentine, noone in the saloon, not a single npc in sight aside from those whom you can interact with. every player i happened to see was flashing like they were just loading infinitely. with zero expectations i rounded cumberland forest in case there was a hail mary katata elk spawn with everything else not loading. zero animals whatsoever in sight this is without a doubt the worst state the game has ever been in, absolutely unplayable. no excuse for it ALifeOfMisery and docpain222 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm on xb1, and the game is in the worst state and totally unplayable. When R* support come into work, they have multiple videos, photos, and messages from me. Not only are there no animals, no NPCs, no camp, no shack, or anything else, but then this also happens. No glitches were used to do this either. Just boot up and try it for yourself.
