I'm sorry but Rockstar is acting like a small game studio. They can't even fix their own bugs, and when they put out a patch, it creates even more bugs and glitches. Either Rockstar doesn't know what the hell they are doing or something fundamentally is wrong with this game. It's getting ridiculous now.

Everything is broken. We have seen some absolute junk from Rockstar before but this hits an all time low that even I didn't think they were capable of.

 

Well you all got your solo sessions. And they fixed the greifing problem overnight.

I've seen small game studios doing far better than Rockstar Games at the moment. This is such an outrage.

It's beyond ridiculous actually, no f*cking communication on their support site or anything. Do they even test the patches before releasing them, or is an intern in charge of these patches? If GTA Online had any major bugs, it would've been resolved in a few hours. What a disgrace, really.

ok wtf happened? i just came on at 6 50 to do the free mode event. i get in the lobby and there is no invite. i look at the lobby size and there are very few players in there. as i rode around i noticed that there were no animals. i kept joining new lobbies and a few of them had nobody in it. i looked for a legendary animal. but no luck. eventually i decided to do one more lobby. i spawn in and see a player. i ride over there to meet him. when i got to the dot there was nobody there. i was confused. then i rode to lagras looking for the gator. i saw another dot. i ride to him and see a person that looks like a player. but when i held r2 it said his name was stranger. and i walked up to him and it gave me the option to surrender. so i did and it froze me in place. i could not move. so i just closed the app and here i am now. so what happened? i know there was the patch. but red dead online was working fine yesterday. is anyone else experience these problems?

R* could have introduced so much cool sh*t for us to have Gus make out of Legendary Animal pelts, encouraging us to hunt individual animals more than once to make several items from each animal, but no, they went for the route which involved the absolute least amount of effort imaginable.

How R* programmers team working on this game can be so mediocre ?! Did they test an update before releasing it ?

18 months after its release, this online is worse than the beta.

 

This game could be the best of this generation, instead it's just ridiculous and hopeless...

R* must have clearly mistaken PATCH with GARBAGE day...

 

btw GOOD f*ckING JOB R*...you made me hit that farcry5.exe....I didn't even know that sh*t was still there on the desktop....NOW LOOK WHAT HAPPEND....I have to play that "challenging" intro sequence...AGAIN!

This is true, tonight's justified outrage will be buried by tomorrow's GTAO hype.

 

But worse than that, check out Twitter right now, people either defending R* or criticising those complaining, check their profiles, ah yes, followed by R*, that sh*t checks out, amirite.

 

I'm getting really f*cking tired of that sh*t. 

 

Imagine being able to be bought off by a follow on Twitter.

Managed to get 5 bullrush and tick off a daily, but f*cking hell!!! I'm gonna be enjoying GTA's new content tomorrow, no way I'm keeping that streak as I want a fun day without the bullsh*t, and this game is just infuriating right now. Not gaming at all.

Just had a chat with my son, who's trying to play this game from his own home. 

 

He can't target anything or kill it. He was on foot, since his horse won't spawn, got the red notification of a predator coming his way, couldn't shoot it or escape it. Mangled by a cougar. 

 

After reloading his game, because of black screen. he found an NPC on a horse and decided to grab the horse to be able to ride. NPC starts shooting at him. He can't shoot back, since the NPC grays out while aiming. But he got killed. Soooow, you can't kill, but they can. 

 

He uninstalled the game right after. What a complete mess this game is at the moment.

Exactly. I bet GTAO doesn't have any major problems today or next week. Even if it did R* would go all out to solve it because it's "the best money-maker" for them but that's it now, their main priority is to get GTAO's update out so we won't be getting a patch on this for the next couple of days.

I think they took the same cognitive test as Trump did lately. But they failed to recognise the elephant and came out even dumber than Trump did.

Well in the space of about 8 or so hours,I went from finding several legendary animals in free roam,no dc issues,no camp issues. 

 

To no animals,no plants... just collectible flowers and everyone is invisible/players and NPC, I can hear them go past me but can't see them. No camp,nothing. 

 

Is this Decmeber 2018 all over again... heck,I even think it ran better back then. Dear lord.

That excuse seems exactly like something I'd imagine got said in a meeting.

 

Look, I'm the least creative guy I know, I've literally carved a career out by grinding and being the most efficient guy I know, but even I, with all of that being said, could have thought of the concept (definitely not the art) for 3-5 Trapper style clothing/accessory items for each Legendary Animal. 

 

When you do that, instead of what R* have done, you send the replay value of hunting these Legendary Animals through the roof and to the benefit of R*, you can increase the amount of time players spend hunting Legendary Animals instead of undertaking activities that pay far better and increase how much players will spend on cosmetic items exponentially.

 

The garment sets are lazy.

I hate this idea that you aren't allowed to criticize games you like. Yeah I love this game and want to see it succeed but you gotta call it like it is. But then again, I have less than 100 followers on Twitter and I don't give a sh*t what people think about me.

 

Rockstar made their own game unplayable. And not unplayable in the sense that people don't want to play it, it's LITERALLY UNPLAYABLE. I don't care if you're an unknown indie company or a multi-billion dollar company. You break your game this bad, you communicate with your player base and you fix that sh*t ASAP

I know I've been hard on this game and tough to please, and this sort of thing should make me smile at feeling it's as I anticipated, but I'm both saddened and a little angry by tonight's attempts. I'm again at the point of shelving this until we learn of significant changes, how many times should I/we do that? It's been 2 years now!

 

I truly want to love this game like I do GTA:O, it should be a beast and both games together should be seeing me so entertained that I have little time to watch movies or anything like that to fill my free time, but it's just one issue after another and it feels so freaking cheap it's unreal now.

 

Did the clown movement and bad press force them into releasing content too early? Has lockdown really f*cked them up? Certainly if the latter (which it seems was the case), they would get good grace from many if they just said so and told us they just can't do enough work to push any content at the moment. I know I could wait but if they do add content, I'm gonna want to play it. We all are.

 

Surely we're at the point where R* need to add those back up lobbies so we can have more control of our game and reduce whatever issues show up. If these problems keep showing up because of high player counts and lobbies are too busy, they need to let us reduce that at least until next gen.

 

And of course, the hackers and such on PC doesn't seem to have eased with that 'massive' update too. Lobby choices will definitely help there. Communities grow and thrive in GTA through how likeminded come together to this day, 7 years later, we need that here rather than people seeking solo lobby glitches, dragging out missions to hunt in peace, or avoiding other players entirely like I do when I see any coloured dot on the map through distrust.

 

I'm just amazed after this long now, this sh*t is no better than beta. Amazing!

This is a great point too. Pretty scary to imagine but easy to see it will. And worse yet, if GTA has any major bugs or money glitches, they'll take priority potentially and this game could be waiting a good few days for a patch, maybe even next week.
