Been looking west of st denis and found little egrets but no snowy ones... Hang out around the area north of Saint Denis and south of Bluewater Marsh. Just ride up and down between those two areas and keep your eyes in the sky. I did that and would find a flock of three egrets flying around, they're all different but one of them might be the Snowy Egret. They would usually spawn during daylight hours. Also, there's a chance you'll see one standing on those little wood pegs on the sides of the wooden roads along there. Mind you I probably spent close to three hours just trying to do this just to get my last two plumes. Shotgun-Pauley and John McCabe
jazzbone
For Egrets follow the train tracks out of Saint Denis heading towards Rhodes. The area on the left just past the bridge is my go to Egret location. When animals are spawning well those white snowy Egrets are easy to see resting on the ground. Other Egret types can also be found there as well as Egrets can be found in the sky there. ALifeOfMisery and John McCabe

Jason
For Snowy Egrets I was doing this earlier: The red route is pretty much the path I was taking, the big X is a region they can spawn in in multiple spots, on the ground/mud and on the wooden pillars alongside the road, the small X is a specific spot where they can spawn. It took a little while and I don't think they spawn at night or if it's raining but beyond that I had no trouble. kcole4001 and John McCabe

Most useful is the buck antler trinket, that increase your chance to get perfect pelts (often you skin good animals and get perfect pelts) I remember the buck antler trinket being particularly useful in store-mode, last I played, but I haven't been able to identify any effect from this trinket in online play. Can you describe a particular action I can take to prove to myself that the trinket is working or not? Don Maximus Meridius

I think 1 star turning into a 2 star pelt happens too, not sure. However, don't work everytime. Improved horse bonding is working as indicated by the lowered (I assume, it was red) requirement to progress to the next level. See Pause > Player > Horse > Bonding screen. The Gypsy Cob bonded to level 4 much more quickly than expected. I was doing the usual, sugar cubes, brushing, patting, calming, hitching and riding casually for long distances without dismissing the horse or fast traveling. Later I read the patch notes that suggest that some of the glitches with losing bonding progress have been fixed - didn't check. I'm up to 21 kills of two star animals and have yet to notice an improved pelt. 17 medium kills with the varmit rifle on appropriate 2 star critters - I'm giving up on these at this point. If there is a bonus it's not worth considering. 1 Bolt Action snipe. No conclusion yet. 3 lasso + knife kills. I'm pretty skeptical but will keep testing. Small game arrows on small 2 star animals - no data yet. Varmint Rifle against small (game arrow) 3 star animals - no data yet. Weapon degradation: Can't tell, but my hunting weapons are more damaged than usual, but then again, I'm constantly hunting so that makes sense. Horse core drain - not sure. Maybe something in the stats will show a change but I don't have notes from before. Edited August 4, 2020 by OrionSR Ronin Ogami
jazzbone
Those horse and weapon trinkets may work, but a 10% gain is too small to get excited about the upgrade. Then too does the weapon trinket stack with the wrap 10% for a total of 20% slower wear? My weapons don't seem to degrade 20% slower as that amount would be noticed. I am over 200 in rank with lots of gold. Why is there no way offered to drop the wear rate to a real 50% slower. Horses are now bigger idiots than ever. Also now more dirty than ever. Are there horse trinkets that will help with those problems? With a strong desire to go medieval on my idiot Fox Trotter i sent for my Andalusin. My Perlino Andalusian arrived looking like he had been rolling around in a pile of coal. Edited August 4, 2020 by jazzbone Ronin Ogami

OrionSR
Buck Antler Trinket - Player has a higher chance of receiving better quality pelts and skins from animals in perfect condition. A hypothesis supported by limited observations: When an animal in perfect condition is damaged to a good quality carcass by a misplaced shot there's a chance to receive a perfect pelt anyway. This is the only break I can find from the hunting mechanic that was working before the update. This is really hard to test. Perhaps an alligator will provide a sitting target that can be damaged precisely. How could I tell if a misplaced shot on a perfect animal produced an increased chance of a perfect carcass? It would be disappointing if the Mercy Kill interfered with this process. Edited August 6, 2020 by OrionSR

fryday
I heard, that the horse bonding trinket does have an effect on max bonding (level4) horses too. Until now I thought, its just effective during a phase, if you have a new horse which is not max level. I could finf any information on this till now
