Outlaw Pass No. 3 Thread

Hardly anything in this Pass I want or even like really. The only reason I sold my collections to boost it was to get the maximum Role XP boost as the Naturalist XP rewards are so grindy.

Yes, though I think the first one was less. 25 or 35 gold, it's been so long I can barely remember. You do eventually make all of that back, but it takes time. As far as Passes this one has maybe one or two things I will get, everything else is barely worth my trouble.

I like the Zorro mask and the black hat. Not the hideous, salsa dancer hat with the red balls hanging from the rim, the other one. Also, all the photography stuff is cool, like the group poses.

  Other than that, nothing as cool as the tricorn and military gear that I'll never own from the previous passes.

I think the extra +20 levels to raise or accompany this Outlaw pass will be the Halloween pass that will come out at October and will probably feature the masks and some more stuff that people want, but I'm just speculating here.

It took me about 5 minutes to finish.

 

I simply traded enough collections to boost it to the top.  I enjoy the stuff it gives - it’s practically free.

Pardon, what do you mean, trade collections? Also, I claimed my 3000 xp reward Before I bought the pass. Will I still get that 3000xp? Thanks!

I unlocked Tempered Steel and... it's not what I expected. I think I like it...

Gotta be honest, this pass is ehhhhhh and the reason I'm ehhhhhh on it is because for one, the two outfits (the first is, so I assume the second is too) are locked and can't be edited. We told them we don't like this last year, they publicly acknowledged that they heard us and yet they continue to do it.

 

There's also only one new walk style in this pass (and the entire update), I was hoping for more of those.

 

A big problem also is asset reuse. I don't know how bad this is across the individual pieces but one of the hats (the first one, I think) is reusing the model from a hat that's been in the game since launch. Also, there's no customisation options on these items, they're one colour again like Pass 1, despite them fixing this in Pass 2 which was a good move.

 

Technically if you max it out you earn your gold back and all that but yea, this is the worst pass yet for me.

I’m trying to not sound too negative as it is good to finally have some content again and new things to do but I guess I just expected more from Rockstar. It’s almost a superficial ‘we are listening to our community and making changes’ when they keep making the same mistakes. 
 

Role outfits are again skins so offer no real customisation making them almost worthless.

 

The two outfits in the pass are again skins and apart from the hats offer no customisation. 
 

The community voiced their concerns over this before and rockstar has done nothing to address it. This isn’t some free to play game where the company can just keep pumping out ‘skins’ and making their dime from that. We paid full price for the game and paid for the pass/roles so I expect a bit more effort.

 

As you say a closer look and a lot of the pass/role items are just reskins of current items in the game. Now don’t get me wrong there’s a heap of items in SP and on npcs I would love to have access to but for a drought this long you would expect more effort. 
 

Can Rockstar not see that the most popular thing added is the trapper which people asked for and has items that fit in the game world and allows customisation yet they still added a dumped down version missing heaps of items. It doesn’t take long at all to max out the trappers clothing options in its current state. 
 

So many rewards on the pass are not even rewards anyway but are ‘money off tokens’ and if you don’t plan on buying any of those items you are essentially getting nothing.

Just found out the mask you unlock doesn’t fall under the mask category but instead falls under the Bandana category so you can’t wear any neckwear with it at the same time. Goodbye classic tv Lone Ranger and Deadshot. Can tell rockstar doesn’t even play their game with small decisions like this that they probably didn’t even think twice about.

The variety of using individual pieces of clothing/accessories is a basic concept...they just don't get it.

But supposedly they have reworked the system to allow for more combinations? Even though they added a Hoods section you can't put the hood up on the hooded sweat shirt. What?

Never had OP1 but I think OP2 was pretty good. OP3 is somewhat lackluster in comparison. It seems just as rushed as the update does in general.

 

I really do like that we get Javier's outfit, though. I dress just like that except we can't have the poncho on top of coats, so that's a welcome addition to me. I just hope the poncho and fixed outfit will look less weird than the other ponchos do.

There are some Horse masks in the Halloween Pass, but I don’t think they’re new and just the same as Outlaw Pass 2 by the looks of things right now! I could be wrong.

 

I think some of the items in the Halloween Outlaw Pass is also a mixtures of items from Outlaw Pass 1 and 2 as well as new, but could just be placeholders for now as some items have a ‘TEMP’ stamp on them.

You can see the names of the masks at Gus’ shop. One is called Phantom something, and one is called Flayed something.

That looks beautiful!! I'm definitely replacing a lot of my metals with this.

 

I own a 10 gauge side-by-side shotgun, and the elephant gun with the tempered steel would look exactly like it.  I can't wait to throw this on there and recreate my own gun in game.

I’ll be honest, that doesn’t look anywhere near as nice in-game as it does in real life, which sucks. Would’ve looked nice on my navy revolvers.

I'm not huge on this Pass but there is definitely some good vouchers in there. There's two free emote ones which can be used on gold only emotes and I think a few other vouchers like that.

I unloaded a good chunk of my stashed collections yesterday and completed the pass. thought I saw an role XP coupon somewhere towards the end but apparently there was not. the 3 reward-treasure-maps are cool, coupon maps leave room for more in your satchel or mailbox. the 25 bars entrance fee to see "the naturalist" I hauled back in by now, so I'm back to my gold-before-the-update stash.

 

btw I completed the pass, and the next day, for whatever reason (I don't know) I was rewarded with a 3.000 outlaw pass XP coupon. haha, good one R*!

true dat "jason", but flipping the bird STILL is NOT worth 13 bars...not even for free!

the other expensive gold currency emote was I'M HIT wasn't it? with, 8 bars I think. probably gonna use the coup' on that.

Just a bit of advice, change just the barrel and look at it outside, preferably in the sun, before you commit to multiple changes. It’s not quite the same look. It’s hard to explain, but it has a shine or reflection to it that makes it look like the colors are changing. My first thought was this is the technicolor dreamcoat of guns. I did the entire elephant gun in it and I’m still undecided if I like it or not. But I did learn I had to pay gold to put it back to the original metals, so I’m leaving it for now.
