It's like the dialed up horse dirtiness to 11 lol, my horse now gets so dirty that on a few occasions I've not recognised it and tried to call another horse.

why the accuracy is worse is because you don't have familiarity with the improved bow yet

Yeah, I think I remember it was the same with our other weaponry as well right? The more you use it you fill those grey bars?

Can anyone explain why I haven't got a stamp on the black bear? Got a 100% progress.

I think I've figured it out:

The update was animal spawns working

duuude, I was thinking the absolute same last night. even on the day the update dropped and those animals spawned left and right, it felt, obvious...but of course the curiosity for the role, outlaw pass and so on covered that up.

so yeah, I second that what R* basically did with this update was FIXING THE ANIMALS SPAWNS, and because they were so proud to have it fixed (seemingly for good) they built a role around that very thing, ANIMALS, now what you do with 'em is up to you, whether you kill or study them, or befriend them, or whatever!

You get stamps by selling samples to Harriet and that's it.

Does every legendary animal have their own mission from Harriet? I'm constantly getting the same few animals.

Thanks. Was pretty sure I've sold a sample to her. Sorted it out now.

As I've ranked up more have been added to the rotation. It'll be somewhat limited in choice until all the Legendary Animals have been drip fed.

I assume it is far more profitable to sell sets to Harriet vs piece meal?  Has anyone checked the difference?

Ah okay, so eventually every legendary animal has their own mission? That's great, those missions are really fun and I think there are 30/40 animals so thats a lot of missions.

I don't know if every animal will, time will tell, but I started off with 2 options that didn't change and at rank 17 I've got 3 options that rotate between different animals and I've done two variations of the mission for almost all of them.

I did a bison mission twice. The setup was different both times also. So there seem to be some variation at least.

Very poorly explained Update aside, I don't think it's a bad one to be honest. It has a varied mix of missions, the hoods look good, the characters are fun and it is technically what people have been asking for. Less PEW PEW PEW.

Ok so this update isn't as bad as I initially knee-jerk reactioned it to be.

One thing though; although its a life-saver to have the Harriet legendary animal missions (instead of fruitlessly searching for them in freemode), I've noticed that the garment you get is basically the same coat every time but with the animal's head on top.

Feels a bit half-arsed to be honest. Look at the outfits you get in SP, they're far better.

Now do the math how much would you have for 500$ that you gave for Pamflet....

I know, but something is wrong, it makes no sense.

I spent the 500 on the pamplet because I have plenty of cash but not so much that I will be buying CVR for $10 just to make 1 round.

It should be 1 CVR is enough to craft 100 rounds, or the price of the CVR should be 0.10 cents, not $10 dollars.

OK so I did the math.

A .22S (sedation) round cost 80 cents for 20 (4 cents each) from the new madam crazy lady.

To craft 1 it cost a .22LR round + a herb

A .22LR cost 40 cents for 60 (less than 1 cent per round or 0.00667 dollars each - which is 66% of a penny each)

Assuming you get the herb free by picking a poppy seed or by looting a crushed valerian root off an NPC, you are saving 0.0333 dollars (3 and 1/3 cent) by crafting one.

The pamphlet cost $525 I think, so the question is how many rounds would you need to craft at a savings of .0333 dollars each to break even.

$525 / $0.0333 = 15,766 rounds... :)

Really enjoying the new free roam activities that came with this new role. It’s a joy to see people actually working together and it’s a good way to get a heap of samples from the animals as it’s a team effort. Definitely going in the right direction there as some of their previous attempts nearly put me off ever joining any.

It’s a shame that the lovely new legendary headgear is all attached to the same winter jacket. If I wanted a jacket I would buy a jacket, so I’m not really understanding the decision behind this as it again limits our ability to customise and make more unique outfits.

Also hate that the garments are hoodies. Shame, as I hoped you could wear the head piece separately. Rockstar and clothing has always been off, probs to piss us off.

They always just seem to miss the mark and I can’t tell if it’s because they are taking the quick lazy option or if it’s just miscommunication and incompetence.

Do you need to get the Trader role first? A friend of mine is trying to get the Naturalist role and he says the yellow magnifying glass is not appearing for him in Strawberry to start the Naturalist role.

Yes, you need the Trader role in order to get the Naturalist role.

I posted this in the show your character thread, but it's appropriate here also.

There are some new random missions that pop up:

While looking around for a treasure, a white dot appeared.

It was a hunter looking for something, I switched on eagle eye and saw grizzly tracks, so I hung back with the hunter to see how the mission would play out.

He remarked something like "there you are. I've been looking all over for you" and I spotted the bear, he perked up so that was the moment to start hitting him with tranq rounds.

He swiped me pretty hard, when I got up I luckily found a big rock to climb and finished sedating the big fella.

I must say he makes quite a mess of your face:

The naturalist role is a good albeit a boring way to make money & xp

I did a legendary elk mission

took like 2 minutes to do it, just had to follow a group of elks and then chase down and sedate the legendary one

+300 xp for completing the mission

+400 xp for selling the sample

51 dollars for the sample

Yeah, same here with the Elk.

One time it was way up north, lost it due to terrain problems (said got away.)

Another time it was in a big box, with poacher guys I had to kill. THAT time I peppered the heck out of it with tranqs, when it ran out ;)

I'm glad you can also just kill them, even though it is a mission from Harriet (for the skin/kill reward from Gus, or even just turning in to Cripps at camp.) That will give this

more longevity./stuff to do, while not waiting around for a Legendary to spawn in the "wild."

I think like all new weapons, you have to familiarize yourself with it first.

I have also seen a guy begging in Saint-Denis near the Barbers. Asking for a Pork Chop and a gun.
