Cymro-MJ
Are the Legendary Gators only available for 1 week in the same sense that the Legendary Bounties were? or are they just adding new legendary animals to your map every week? I only bought the naturalist role last night so unsure if I missed out on last week's legendaries.. If someone could clear this up for me it'd be great! Rev. Gnash
Random encounter with the Legendary Onyx Wolf at Level 20. Second random encounter, with LA: each time, I spawned into session using camp; which was pitched near a Legendary spawning location. Just some info. RyuNova
A good way to tell if your gonna get sprayed is to use an Emote on her before you press Buy, Sell or Mission. If she tells you to go away or acts annoyed with you then you are gonna get sprayed. IzzyBlues, Ronin Ogami, Failed Again and 3 others
Krommer
AH nice, thanks! I KNOW I'm not in good with her now, since getting 20 naturalist and my horse up to rank 4 I've been killing the CRUD out of all fauna on the map The piebald/whatever seems pretty good, too (by the way), about as good with wolves/whatever on our butt as my Norfolk Roadster; seems more skittish around snakes, though, bucked once with just a snake by us at rank 4 (though I think I was mashing "calm.") I like that its health/stamina are full, at rank 4, like the Klad (which I had horrible luck with, as far as them being cowardly.) So I'll test this out later, after work. Cymro-MJ
Can't find Timber Wolves for the life of me. Anyone know where the most reliable spawn point is? I know it says Cumberland Forest and The Grizzlies on the compendium but I'm having 0 luck so far..

Use Wapiti fast travel, there is a reliable spawn before you get to the springs. Edited August 6, 2020 by CosmicBuffalo Rev. Gnash

Also, be sure to start travel late at night/early morning--that should significantly increase your chances of finding them. I ran into a pack of three just yesterday (in-game late night/early morning). BTW, they don't like large rocks, so if you can find one nearby to stand on, that will slow them down. LostReacher
I notice in Wild Animal Tagging when other players sample an animal, the notification sort of implies that you got the sample. Do those samples carry over to your inventory in freemode after the event?
chuckclc
I cant get any legendary alligators to spawn, but I was on a supply run for Cripps. crossing through ringneck Creek and got the notification of a legendary animal. Right at the pond of that creek was a fox. Easy find had to chase him down for a while before he died but I got em. They take a lot of lead. Rev. Sentinel Driver
From my experience there are no reliable animal spawns (that is until you want to mind your own business then the game decides to spawn a million cougars and wolves to annoy you) kcole4001

On the ride down the tracks to Annesburg I was pursued by a grizzly and then immediately after by a cougar and a black bear, one on either side of the tracks so I could only get past by calming the horse. Shortly after they'd despawned I another black bear showed up, and I was still only half way to Annesburg! (I'd already shot my bear for the daily hours ago) And today since the daily to trample animals is no longer active I trampled 3 rabbits, a bird, and a skunk, all without trying. Captain Kyra
Question: Do you get anything for completely researching a field guide category? I've fully researched all desert animals in the field guide and turned it in but I didn't seem to get anything extra for completing the research. Is that it? Rabid Vulpix
#1: I think I'm screwed on the Marble Legendary now, I have them all except that one. Only encounters it once up where it spawns & I accidentally killed it with incidiary rounds in my shotgun. Ever since I have not been able to get it to spawn once, despite now having every other legendary at this point. Session swapping, etc isn't working, so yeah anybody else having that issue? #2: What happened to all the cougars? I know I haven't been on the RDR2 forums here much recently, but jeez seriously did I miss something? I haven't seen one in over a week now in-game. I had a similar drought of LAs after I'd completed almost all of them. I think I had like 4 left and couldn't get any to spawn for several days. You are absolutely correct that there is something going on with cougars, but also wolves and bears. Seems like they've nerfed predators for some reason.
