Every so often I'll either see the rare car that I never bought or forgot existed/sold for space reasons and will steal or buy it and gain a new appreciation for it. Whether it be for racing purposes, showroom completion, or for using in missions (hello Annhilator, I love it for the Titan escort air cargo mission).

The Vapid Gaudian is another one I slept on until recently. I owned it already but literally never used it and it sat in my Conker ave. stilt house for half a decade. Now I use it for leisure and also for playing certain missions like the POW clubhouse contract mission. It really is a cool truck and I love how modular the suspension settings are. Too bad it didn't get slightly better armor and a few more visual mods..

The Bullet is another one. I forgot just how fun it is to race despite is underwhelming performance competitively. It has more GT40 design cues than I thought it did, heck it's about 50/50 as far as GT40 and Ford GT influence goes. It has a nice heft and once you get used to that and the brakes and handling it's quite a fun car. The FMJ also seems underappreciated, probably because of the jarring Vulcan elements they gave it... it sure looks good from behind though (even with the bugged taillights). It's also fun and challenging to race, one of the first challenging supers to drive added to the game. Like the Emerus, it takes a while to get the hang of, but when you do it feels like an extremely fast and risky car to drive with a reward for those patient enough to master it's quirks.

The BF400 and Esskey are the 2 bikes I've picked back up lately. Both have the ability to power slide (on console at least). If you snap the analog stick in the direction you need to turn at full speed the back end kicks out and allows for somewhat of a controlled slide/drift. For the BF it seems to help having road tires on it or maybe that's just placebo on my part.. I've heard this trick described as a bug or flaw for those 2 bikes, but it can be controlled and used to scrub speed before a corner or if you're  slick like me, power slide and rarely ever have to use the brakes for tighter corners and hairpins.

Surely some of you have been dipping into forgotten and never before used cars during the long content drought, share what vehicle you've gone back to or recently purchased for the first time and were surprised with.

I wouldnt say dipping back into it, but since we havent had anything new I found myself buying more kanjo's, sultan classics and asbo's because there are so many different variations you can make of the cars. I also have been making street versions of cars that you can also make into racecars... Like I now have a full race version of the komoda and a street version of it.

I discovered a Rocket Bunny build on the Viceris and I really like blasting down the highway.

Its kind of more of a play on the pantera GT5 without the beautiful sexy curves this car actually has... 🤷‍♂️

It’s easy to forget just how quick the armoured Schafter V12 is, especially for a saloon-class car. Very good for avoiding a few explosives or cheeky potshots as you drive past hostiles, and the 3 passenger seats means your crew can come with. The Bifta, Comet Safari, and Trophy Truck are also great for tooling around in when you’re not bothered about getting shot at. Fast and agile both on and off road, which makes them great getaway cars in PvE missions.

Being a part of the "stance/slamming" car community of online helps show more of these more lesser seen cars.

Like for example, one of my all time favourite cars to slam from the street is the worn red Rusty Emperor. With gold lowrider wheels, its a beauty

I loved the looks and sound of the 190z from the day it launched, but couldn't find a combination of mods that I was happy with, and it ended up abandoned in my garage in a rather dull (and almost stock) condition, but since the F1/merge glitch I've been driving this wide-bodied worn beast all over the map.

You could "restore" it and add Benny's wheels by merging it first onto another lowrider, and then a clean Emperor.

Whenever I see people say we have too many cars or the classic "how much more garage space could you possibly need" I scoff and shake, there will never be enough cars or garage space lol.

I could do with at least another 20-30 car spaces.

Same here. I need the arcade and casino garage spaces but they're so damn expensive

Well the V12 sound from the Schafter actually sounds nothing like a V12. It actually sounds like AMG's N/A 6.2L V8. But yeah the sound should match, but performance too.

On-topic:

A car I always liked was the Felon GT. It's really a classy good looking car. Underrated for sure. While everyone wants to go fast and be shouty, that car looks discreet while being a looker and it is smooth and relaxing to drive.

Another understated car worth revisiting is the Bestia. Nobody really talks or thinks about it anymore. But it is still a nice fun loving car that looks striking.

I drove it a lot when it first came out, but I can't get over how overscale it feels. It's huge! Also, I bet they've never fixed the offset radio display...

Actually... few racing games get engine sound right. So, i dont expect much from GTA.

Anyway, thanks for the free info.

One car I've noticed that always seems to grab attention at car meets is the Albany Lurcher. The old Halloween Buccaneer hearse.

Since it released, I've never seen anyone bring one to meets. The Romero hearse? Plenty of times. But the Lurcher? Seems to be just me.

Ive been completely out of storage for a long while now... I also own every garage space at full capacity.. I think I own nearly or have owned every car in the game at least once, some like the kanjo I own 3 of.. I also am apart of a fairly decent size car meet crew so I have had my fair share of... I owned that car once, didnt know what to do with it at the time. I know reown the car and have come to like it again... But these are easy cars in the garage to pick up and sell when something new comes out. The hardest part is replacing something you love but do not ever drive with something you want to experience again that you know you will drive.. Ugh love hate relationships...

I know the exact feeling. Had to make space today and sell a few cars. Problem is, the ones that just sit there and look pretty are the ones I hold dear. So when you drive them to LS Customs, you choose sell and just can't do it. But sometimes you gotta make space.

Currently I'm trying the old "unlimited" spins at the casino for the Sugoi. Never owned or drove one (the price is waaay too high for me) and I'm needing another civic to pair with my Kanjo. I'm on like spin 50 and still haven't got it yet.

[EDIT]: Four and a half hours later, I've finally got it. Jesus Christ my RNG sucks today

It’s hard to see how giving players extra garage slots would be anything other than beneficial to both collectors and rockstar combined.

in terms of Lost and rediscovered cars,  I’ve been having an illicit affair with the rapid gt, both variants since an epic chase in a stolen one months ago.  Lot of folk write them off over handling/understeer issues but it just needs getting used to. That and how common they are in the streets, but they sound sweet, are plenty fast. And look pretty

The Granger, baller MK1, land stalker, guardian, coquette, rapid GT, exemplar, adder, trophy truck, Monroe, vigero, regular ruiner and Franklin's buffalo. There's probably way more but these are mostly ignored and slept on.

Also the freakin Windsor drop, 4 door convertible......

Did a business battle earlier.

The one where you steal the Ellie in the car show room.

I own this car already but it somehow looked and felt better in a mission type scenario where im being chased..

Probably because you know you didn't waste ~$500,000 of your hard-earned cash on that one.

My only gripe with the Ellie is that it's so unbearably slow, when compared to other classic muscles. It should have the same speed/handling as something like the Dukes.

The flags really do ruin it... to have any muscle car be unable to midrange speed boost is just criminal. Hopefully they'll release a Dom Classic based on the Mach One..

As for rediscovery, the Sentinel Classic makes a very fun little rally car and even has some appropriate mods to do so. Gotta have off road tires on it though, and with the new OR tire textures it looks the part finally. Very fun and maneuverable and relatively quick as well. Totally underrated IMO.

- Verlierer: Only drove this for I/E a couple of times. Only bought it after finding out the exhaust upgrades make it gradually louder. With the quad exhausts, in my opinion, it's among the best sounding cars in the game, good performance as well --not a top sports car but still very quick overall-- and a nice design. I just wish it was a little bit more Wiesmann than TVR.

- FCR 1000 Custom: I used to own one a long time ago, made to look like a vintage military bike. But it's undeniably a more modern bike and I'm not too keen on the "modern retro" aesthetic. Either way, I bought it again recently, gave it a modern look, and a paint job with green/yellow contrasting colors. It's one of the best motorcycles in the game design-wise.

- Sanchez (Livery): Made it into a supermoto by glitching the black "Wires" wheels onto it.

- Ardent: I didn't buy this for the longest time because I thought it was kinda ugly. But I've owned pretty much every Sports Classics so I thought I'd give it a shot at the point when I had earned more money than I could ever spend. Well, it's just extremely fun to drive, and with a glitched light interior it even looks good, although I still think the Italian "Super Classics" look better.

- Coquette Classic: Yet another case of "improvement through glitching"; I always preferred having the Stingray-type roof on the car, but hated the look of the poorly rendered trunk. I solved this by glitching both the roof and topless rears on it.

- Carbonizzare: Thanks to @Halal Cyborg I now know that it stops NPC bullets on a comparable level to the armored Kuruma. So I sold the latter as I was never a fan of it anyway, and only owned it out of necessity. The Carbonizzare I actually enjoy driving.

- Pißwasser Dominator: Only really bought this for racing, but the more I got used to it, the more I enjoy driving it in freemode as well. The type of performance and handling the Gauntlet Hellfire should have, in my opinion.

- 811: It's just really fast on PC.

Ubermatch SC1: I didn't buy it earlier because it looked ugly and I'm just not a fan of the M1 Hommage either.

But thanks to the current Benny's merge and some tuning options, I made it look passable as a nostalgic super car.

I kinda wish it were a proper M1 though.

Tampa: it's arguably one of the most overlooked DLC muscle cars in the game because of its lacking performance, but the car itself looks solid and has a colorable livery which alternates between a single or double stripe depending on which you had it installed...Its the only car in the game with this feature!

Plus dat supercharger whine sound is just amazing.

Dewbauchee Examplar: a incredible recreation of the AM Rapide 4 door coupe which still holds up well if you don't mind the outdated interior, and for a 4 passenger car this one can drive very fast and corner well, while looking 10x better than what any Kuruma could ever dream of looking.

Stirling GT: The glory days of this car are long gone, but I'll be dammed if I don't recognize how well it drives for it's age. The engine sound and those exhaust crackles makes me blush everytime I lift before a corner...hmmmmm

And for the love of god, remove that spare tire in the truck if you haven't already, as this car isn't competitive anymore.

Ocelot Penetrator: Frankly, I don't understand why this ride is so overlooked, because on paper it has everything right going for it.

It's fast, affordable, looks amazing and is a nice recreation of the original car...Surely it doesn't have lots of customization options, and sure it sounds ridiculous, but as it stands it doesn't deserve to be so forgotten.

Coquette Classic: the addition of liveries to it really lived it up again, without them the car always felt incomplete to me...The Declasse Mamba was on the same boat for me.

And now it proper thin White walls from Benny's I can make it look like I wanted it to.

Made a nice slammed Phoenix last night. Found it with a unique NPC cabernet red (darker than the LS Customs colour) and no spoiler. Gave it some gold coloured tuner rims and a nice clean look.
