VC from steam

Ok so i got original VC from steam for 6$ and meh..it has no folders. I'm kind of lost.. It works good, but if i quit for some reason then i have to restart the pc to be able to play again. My original VC's disk is messed up and can't start the game tho it can normally install but won't open the game at all it gets a small CD icon instead of the normal curser and keeps on rotating and nothing happens..Tho I didn't throw it away just yet. I've tried on my other pc but does the same..So i decided to get it from internet..and got stumbled on steam. created an account and got VC under sale..weirdly the one for mobile version is same price..but the absense of folders makes me very confused..And my usual saves won't work on it tho it shows but when i select it starts from scratch..I'm really lost. And what is weird is that its when i navigate my curser on the VC's icon it says "internet shortcut"..Its fully playable but the fact i can't mod it really bugs me..Yes i love to mod my game.. But seriously where are the folders? I've checked and its nowhere to be seen..not in C drive not in E..

Idk whats the problem of this topic that its being ignored. Idk maybe the title is weird but no..Its not weird..What i meant by clean VC is that i needed a fresh VC cuz my CD got f***ked..Ik that this section of VC isn't for modding. I been here for long..But the fact that posts are being ignored is not nice..I been seeking some help but no1 cares to reply..

You can check where the game is installed by opening the Steam app, going to "Library", right clicking Vice City from the list and selecting "Properties". On the properties window, go to the "Local Files" tab and select "Browse Local Files".

Unless you chose to install it somewhere separately, the game is likely to be installed at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto Vice City".

Saves from the retail version of Vice City will need to be converted before you can use them on the Steam version. You can use a save converter such as this one or upload your saves to GTASnP.com and you will be able to convert them using the modification options (see this post for help).

Hopefully this helps if you didn't figure any of this out! :)

P.S. I found it, now need to convert the save file..so not want to go thru the storyline again..i put it in local disc E..

UPDATE: The converter doesn't work..I drop the file but it doesn't do anything..Any other option? Oh and idk how the snp does the converting? do i just upload and then? I looked thru the preferences and meh..I set it as steam and then do i just download it or?

Yes. For a simpler explanation, upload the save file from the other version of the game and on the page it should say "Retail (Windows) or Steam (Mac OS X)" next to "Release Version" at the top of the page like this screenshot below:

If that's the case, go to the "Modifications" box halfway down the page and under "Release Version" select "Steam (Windows)":

When you've done that you'll get a little "1" next to where it says "Modifications". Then you just need to download it by clicking on one of the slots. It'll automatically convert the save so that what you download is a Steam Version save that will work on your game :p
