  I hope this heist requires specialized watercraft and amphibious firearms. Gunboats and submarines with stong anti-aircraft weapons. 

  The big hope is that the new location is a portion of Liberty City, serving as a tease for the expanded next gen version, which would include a fully realized LC.

If the update is said to be the "biggest ever update" it should surpass any update in the past. I personally think unless it's truly something spectacular, using phrases such as "biggest ever" is pretty stupid, so we will probably get something spectacular. Does anyone know if they have used words such as "biggest ever" in the past? Might be good references for setting expectations. 

 

A question that I have is in which aspect is it the biggest ever though? Number of new content? New gameplay/map/mechanics/etc.? Or size lol? As someone mentioned before these words are just vague haha.

My first thought as to why they used the words biggest ever was that they know we will be confused as to why the summer update is so small, so they reassure us by exaggerating the size of the winter update. It will be the same size as any big up date of recent years. Imo

"Further Adventures In Finance And Felony" was called by Rockstar to be the "biggest and deepest update yet", whatever that means. Deepest? "Prepare yourself for the biggest, most audacious, most complex criminal operation ever to hit Los Santos in The Diamond Casino Heist". This resulted in a fairly simple, yet interesting heist where every single set-up was reused assets from previous heists. People who fall for this type of marketing speak garbage need to understand that no one is ever going to hold them accountable for just flat out "lying". Expectation should be a bunch of reused assets, a new building for the heist and a new owned building in game pay-wall to set it up in, with some overpriced car storage. If it works $, why change it?

So, this week (as in when they update Casino stuff and give us bonuses) according to a loading screen is going to be whatever type vehicle is used the most in area war will be discounted next week. 

 

The area war cars are pretty pricey along with the workshop and I doubt many people bought them since it was a sort of meh update to begin with, so rockstar could be trying to drain our money before dropping the new update?

I sure hope the SSASS cars get the fix they need, and truly deserve. I love my JC (and a few of the others) but damned if it ain't gawd awful driving that thing.

"Biggest ever" will just be a direct reference to all loading times from then on.

My guess is that we are pulling a heist on the Mile High Building, Die Hard style.

 

First we will own a share of it by buying a penthouse to do missions and sh*t, then we will heist it because R* logic.

Actually, I have no idea.

 

All I know is that the governments and authorities of the world have shown themselves to be truly incompetent and clueless this year. Are we allowed to go out? Where are we allowed to go out when permitted? Do we have to wear a mask or can we take it off? Are we allowed to talk to other people, and why does everyone give us the beady eye all the time? And have Rockstar been able to get on with normal business and produce a quality update? That is the question.

 

One thing is for sure; we're not getting new characters or new physical locations this year because of the impossibility of getting that done, so expect a reworking of existing content, which is great actually because maybe it gives Rockstar a chance to reflect and fix.

 

As to the new heists; my hope is that they follow the path of the Casino Heist and allow us to complete the prep missions in freemode, leading to a finale with loot as the reward. I loved the original heists back in 2015, but they feel old fashioned now, and the second round of Facility-based heists didn't really work for me either; however, the Casino Heist is a total win, especially the way you can influence the outcome through so many tunables and variables. It feels so fresh and optional, which I love, including the way you can do prep missions solo and only two people are needed for the finale.

Come on, you know how this goes every time with Rockstar.

 

Announce a general date to get the hype train on the rails, then later on, announce a specific date, at least 9-12 months later, then as that approaches, delay it for another 6-9 months for qualty reasons because players are so special etc.

I mean soon we will see if the first part of the leak is real. After we will know if the leak was bulls#it or if there is hope that the leak is real and LC is coming.

I'm not surprised, bc RDRO update just came out recently... A lot of gamers try to play both, so why release them in a span of a week?

Yes the fact this is an event finishing on Tuesday 11 August I might add suggests there will be the *ping^ of a DLC file happening on Playstation 4's that day or the next I suspect.

 

Hope this is purely to give them time to make the news wire articles with the details of what's actually coming for the update, as I have said several times elsewhere if I spot a certain car or a 'Cozzie" in any trailers then I am convinced about returning on next gen.

No self respecting gta player keeps working for Gerald, 20 minute mission to steal somebody's drugs and you get like 1k? F- that dude, in those 20 minutes i could source materials to make 10x that amount of drugs to sell all on my own, Gerald is a buster.

Biggest Update so far?  Probably means it'll be at least 50GB, and I'll have to clear out a game, or two just to install it.
