GTA Online looks really bad and runs on low fps although on a good system

Hey guys,

I have built myself a new PC two months ago. All the games are running fine, except GTA 5. The game looks very bad (even worse than on PS3) and my FPS dropped to around 30-40. On my old PC with a Ryzen 1600 + 1070 the game looked much better

 

My specs:

Ryzen 3800x

Asus RTX 2070 Super Strix OC

Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2TB

Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming

 

My GTA settings:

DirectX11

Full HD (playing on a Full HD Monitor)

144hz

FXAA on

MXAA x8

TXAA off

VSync off

Population Density 100%

Population Variety 100%

Distance Scaling   100%

Texture Quality: Very high

Shader Quality: Very high

Shadow Quality: Very high

Reflection Quality: Ultra

Reflection MSAA: x8

Water Quality: Very high

Particles Quality: Very high

Grass Quality: Ultra

Soft Shadows: NVIDIA PCSS

Post FX: Ultra

Motion Blur Strength: 10%

In-Game Depth of Field Effects: off

Anisotropic Filtering: x16

Ambient Occlusion: High

Tessellation: Very High

 

I have activated Anisotropic Filtering "Application Controlled" in the Nvidia Control Panel.

Do you have any other ideas how to fix this?

Mess around with those settings a bit, things like distance scaling and tessellation can destroy your FPS, start by setting it up to something like medium specs, then slowly (while testing in between i mean) start increasing settings till you get to something that both looks and runs good.

Either that or you forgot to plug the powercable into your GPU and your other games are simply not demanding enough for the GPU to need this power.
