[Vice City] Sanny Builder decompiles with incorrect car model names?

I am using Sanny Builder 3.3.3 and when I decompile an original main.scm the main.txt contains incorrect car models names, for example the ADMIRAL is called DIABLOS, the INFERNUS is called MANANA. Is there a way to fix it, thanks for any response...

I don't confirm, i can't find DIABLO or MANANA inside vc main.scm

do you mean this?

did you switch sannybuilder to vc mode at right lower corner?

and did you gave then the correct game path at TOOLS > Options > General ?

This is a code decompilation of the original main.scm at line 30674, I gave the correct path to a clean installation folder and switch to VC mode by selecting the appropriate icon:

 

:INTRO_11929
Model.Load(#DIABLOS)
Model.Load(#FERRY)
023C: load_special_actor 10 'IGKEN' 
038B: load_requested_models 

 

DIABLOS is ID 175 which should be the ADMIRAL and FERRY is ID 192 and should be the FAGGIO

 

EDIT: Hmm I gave the correct path to my VC installation since I was editing GTAIII before but it didn't work until I restarted the program, so now it shows the correct names again, thanks and sorry for any troubles...

Those model IDs are for Liberty City Stories.

That's correct, I was trying to decompile the main.scm of the mod called "Re: Liberty City Stories" based on the VC engine without success...

Your results suggest you are decompiling an original main with an install directory linked to data files modified for LCS. The model IDs aren't hard coded for each game, they are read by Sanny when it starts, the install folder is changed, or edit modes switched. Set the install folder to a folder with original data files when decompiling an original main, or a folder with modified data files for a modified main that depends on those modified data files.

 

Having both game versions fully installed isn't too tough these days, but I think the only files Sanny really needs are:

  • data\default.dat
  • data\default.ide
  • data\generic.ide
  • data\gta_vc.dat
  • text\american.gxt

An alternative to switching install directories when working with full map mods, is to create a custom edit mode for Sanny. Then all you need to do is switch edit modes, and you can support special purpose customvariables.ini and other support files specific to that mod.

Yeah I edited my second post to explain that I was decompiling the main.scm using the dir of the mod Re:LCS as my install dir, changing that dir to a clean install folder and restarting the program fixed the issue, thanks though...
