VenusianDream
I've tried to invest in the stock market during Franklin's assassination missions but I don't really know how it works; what to invest in, when, etc. I also don't have internet so I can't go on the BAWSAQ website. Is it even worth doing? Mr. Bogey
Americana
I've never bothered, but seems like dudes on Grand Theft Auto Wikipedia do it for a living. VenusianDream
Guest
I suppose if you really want that golf club property the only practical way of getting enough money not wasting months of your life or involving cheats/hacks is by investing in the stock market. (That exorbitant price is really stupid, whether it's realistic or not) You probably checked it out already but I remember GTAseriesvideos having a good guide on how to exploit the stock market
JiaHengK
There's plenty of guides online that shows you the most optimised way of earning money with Franklin's Assassination missions. They'll teach you on which stocks to invest in, and how much time you need to pass in order to earn a profit by selling the stocks. I would say it's definitely worth it, as the missions are relatively simple and by following the right steps, you can earn a few hundred million. A word of advice, do try to make a save point before each mission, just in case you missed the timeslot for the profit. VenusianDream
billiejoearmstrong8
I looked up how to do it with the assassinations (although I did it wrong, I think I also didn't have access to BAWSAQ so I couldn't do all of them, and I also did it too early in the game before I had the big score payout so it wasn't even worth it lol), to be honest it's just a boring chore but I guess if you do it properly to get more money than you'll ever spend in the game it's worth doing. It involves doing the assassination, investing money as all three characters, sleeping to move time on while checking how the stock is doing and then cashing out when it's at its peak, all at particular times. It's easy if you follow a guide. I think I looked up one other time to do it when one of the random encounters gave me a tip as well and got some money from that. There's really nothing fun or entertaining about it though, wasn't worth including in the game imo. Ryo256
Stock market is trash. The horror of constantly sleeping as Trevor to get the right time mark for investing/selling and watching him sniff his finger after scratching his ass countless time is not something I'm willing to do for a damn golf course. Just get a Trainer mod and get as much money as you want. Since you don't have internet, you don't have to worry about going Online (though the modded game will auto-close if you do anyway). MaddenedGhost
I did last time I finished the story, it was fun to mess with, GTASeriesVideos has a guide on it if you want to give it a try. VenusianDream
kubon352
I was happy to get as much cash as possible. It obviously gives you ability to buy all the sh*t - cars, planes, boats, clothes, guns. I don't see any reason, why not to do this. I don't like trainers anymore, I want fair reward for my actions. VenusianDream
Ah, it seems the best way to do it is at the very end of the game, I didn't know that. Is there anything to gain by using the stock market earlier in the game? I didn't really wanna wait until the end to do all of the assassination missions. You'll just get much less cash since the amount you can invest in the end thanks to the Big Score payout is way higher than at any point before. I guess you can still use the stock market beforehand without doing Lester's missions if you want the max benefit from those missions yet want to make some cash, GTAwiki has an explanation on how to use LCN effectively in general. There's one time where a random encounter gives you some money and a stock tip where you can make a bit from it I think. But if you're interested in doing anything with the stock market (especially the biggest one where you wait until you have the Big Score payout and then do the assassination missions) you should just look up a guide and follow it so you do it right and at the right time. JiaHengK
Just remember to make a save before attempting each Assassination Mission, since it might not work out sometimes. There may be times when you accidentally passed the appropriate moment to cash out your stocks, so be sure to have a save file on the ready to redo it. kubon352
Multi saving, saving often is a basic step in whole process. VenusianDream
VenusianDream
One other question, do I absolutely have to save to pass the time? Would things still work out if I played through the in-game days, doing missions and activities until the stocks rise? Mr. Bogey

JoeMamma81
Does it actually work outside of the Assassination missions?? I've never really tried it, besides during those missions.

It will hardly work to afford the golf yard, but if you invest all your money after the final heist and get let's say a 2% ravenue it will still be plenty of money. Extreme Hunt
Only during certain missions and Franklin's Assassination missions. For instance, after Meltdown, FlyUs stock increase ~100% as it was brought down by Legal Trouble. Vangelico stock will also rebound after a certain mission I forgot. Or how after the final mission Augury Insurance stock rise approx ~100% thanks due to the Big Score. This can even be done before you receive the message from Don Percival about Merryweather stock, which is another 70-100% on top of that. But I have huge trouble with that and am fine with Augury Insurance. If you do Franklin's Assassination missions afterwards you easily reach the max cash limitation, even when you have 1 or 2 Assassination missions left. Cutter De Blanc
You can also use the stock market to store excess money, if you put it in a safe stock like ammunation. In this way you can have more than the 2.1 billion dollar limit, not that youll ever need that much unless all you drive is Z-Types VenusianDream
Lioshenka
God, no. They are pointless - I invested something like 4 millions of dollars (everything I had a Michael at 100% completion) and got back something like 157000 in a week? It's not worth the effort, unless you follow the internet tutorials that tell you what to invest and when - which takes away the whole point of a singleplayer if you have to have a constant internet access to see all the guides.
