Tribute to GTAO Heists

probably the greatest GTAO DLC..... at least in terms of it being the update that really saved GTAO and launched GTAO into a different dimension

 

you can split GTAO in the pre-heist and post-heists area, where pre-heists was looking like a dead game where as post changed the entire game for the better

Heists are great but it was nice when jobs like deathmatch, street races, LTS, capture, etc were still given some love.

Everyone was excited for heists back in the day and when it came out, it lived up to it's hype. It's still the best way to make legit money on last gen till this day.

I'm not that sure about heists. @Commander S once posted a very good post on heists and we should take that account into perspective:

Yes? Tutorial takes you to his house and Trevor's house too. Calling Lester to get rid of cops is a launch feature

Besides the mention of Rank10 minimum, the only reason he has to suggest the player to buy some real estate is for the heist planning room?
Pretty sure i didnt see Lester until they added heists, or it was so insignificant i prompty forgot the actual first time we meet him online.

Also the 'Calling Lester to get rid of cops' is Rank21 minimum. So at the very least your "???? He's literally in the tutorial" doesnt hold up.

My guy your original comment about "being excited that they introduced Lester to online" made it sound like he had no appearance in online at all. Like Franklin. I was just stating that, he has been in the game since launch, you arrive at his house, and calling Lester to get rid of the cops has been in the game since launch. I was merely trying to clear confusion and confirm that Lester has been in online since day one.

this is not accurate history at all

 

heists were promised day 1

 

we got heists almost 2 years later after multiple lies

 

plenty of disappointment leading up to and following the release

 

the only respectable heist (and fun imo) is the casino heist and that was 6 years after release

 

brucie is a character in this storyline released years later and yet day 1 brucie is a contact in your phone for bullshark testosterone

Originally, Lester was introduced at rank 10 to introduce the Bounties feature, nothing to do with property originally. You didn't visit him? You didn't get bounties.

 

After heists (and the other businesses he has his finger in), new players can interact with him from rank 1.
