bobpage
Hey all, I'm totally new to the GTA forums. I've recently played Vice City again and after playing for a while, I started to get interested in its internals. I have started to work on a small utility to edit the save game files. It runs locally in the browser and currently only supports editing the "Car Generator" section of the savegames. This section is responsible for defining spots where certain cars reappear. If there is interest, I may improve the utility in the future. I've only tested it with the steam PC version of Vice City so far. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this; if not, please feel free to move or delete this thread. The utility can be found at https://www.hcesperer.org/vercettus/ and since it's free software, the source code is available at https://github.com/hce/vercettus I know there are other, probably much more advanced savegame editors out there; this one has the advantage that it runs in the sandbox of your web browser and doesn't need to be installed locally.
