But I use trainers to block all the sh*tty stations that play "your music sounds like a dumpster rolling down 5 flights of stairs" music added in the updates. KatanaDV20 Posted August 5, 2020 Share Posted August 5, 2020 The tracks in the game are great - on their own. I've never liked music in any game so the radio in GTA5 is off at all times. I like hearing just the ambient sounds, weapon sounds, car & airplane engines etc. Music in video games just bores me its the first thing I disable along with motion blur as soon as I install a new game. It depends....so both or neither! If I'm playing during the day, I have the radio turned off as I need to hear my phone or other things around me. Cheatz/Trickz Posted August 9, 2020 Share Posted August 9, 2020 The score music, while good, really detracts from the gunplay imo. Imagine Heat’s bank scene with an upbeat action track playing in the background, suddenly it isn’t as raw or intense. I’ve found disabling the music for certain missions makes the shootouts a bit more engaging because you can hear bits of ambiance that you don’t with the music drowning it out. I also like the car engine sounds and feel like they me make relaxed.... OR hyped? The engine noise when driving vehicles, the environmental sounds and weapons sounds is what I prefer hearing. Music utterly ruins immersion for me and seems so out of place. I dunno, ever since Vice City, the music has been one of the most important parts of the game. I can completely get that, just to me - especially for a GTA game where the music is imo one of the most important parts of the game experience - the idea of completely muting all the music just sounds so foreign a concept lol.
