Buying Supplies = Negative Profit?

I've been following a lot of money-making guides for GTA Online. Many say that buying supplies for MC and gunrunning businesses is the fastest way to make money.

I have operations for Counterfeit Money and Gunrunning (in the cheapest locations and with no upgrades yet). Every time I spend $75,000 on supplies, my operations don't make enough product to pay it off.

Raw paper > Printed money? 🤯

I've re-downloaded the game once since starting, but the issues persist. I don't know if this is the way things are supposed to be, or if it actually takes 5 bars of supplies for 1 bar of counterfeit cash.

I haven't seen any other people having problems like this so far.

At least the cargo missions aren't broken.

I do not grind the buisineses, but I am pretty sure that the staff upgrade is needed to turn a profit on bought supplys.

Edit,

Also you have posted this in the PC section, this is not a PC specific question so it will probably be seen by more people in a more general online game section.

You should only buy supplies after you have installed at least the equipment upgrade, and ideally staff upgrade too.

Staff upgrade speeds up production, equipment upgrade makes it use the supplies more efficiently.

Buying supplies without equipment upgrade uses them up too quickly and you'll barely make profit, or even a loss

Buying supplies for your Bunker and MC Businesses are more efficient since you can do Import/Export, Headhunter and Terrorbyte missions together while your Bunker and MC produces in the background. Make sure to install equipment and staff upgrades when buying supplies so you can get maximum profits from you Bunker and MC Businesses.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice. I'll do other missions to save up for the upgrades.

I didn't know if this was a PC question because I only have the PC version of the game.

BTW is there a way to mark this topic as "resolved" on this forums site? I'm new to this.

I think marking an answer as the best answer does that. It should be right above the upvote button.
