Be-Deliver
10 minutes ago, AngryMeatPie said: The thing is like this: in the downloaded archive there's a folder with animations and a WeaponInfo file. I assumed it's all most likely intended for the original IV, so I placed them in the respective folders for GTA IV. In this folder there's a subfolder "TLAD", as well with animations and a WeaponInfo file. I placed them into the respective TLAD folders (haven't checked properly yet, though, but they seem to be working as at least the rifle animation in TLAD works properly now). The question is, which set of animations and a WeaponInfo file do I use for TBOGT? As I understand from your response, I can use the animations from the downloaded folder, not from the "TLAD" folder, which is quite logical. But what about WeaponInfo? Shall I leave the one that is originally in the TBOGT folder without replacing it, but replace the animations? You don't replace anything for TBoGT as far as installing the mod goes, and Weaponinfo.xml doesn't get replaced due to the data inside containing weapon data only for TBoGT's weapons. It's optional, you can install the .wad files intended for IV into TBoGT's anim.img if you want to - shouldn't cause any issue. Just don't replace Weaponinfo.xml. I said "replace" because in the Readme file the mod author says that the files from DLCs can override the mod ones, so one can delete them when installing the mod, to be on the safe side. That's why I deleted the animations from TLAD and IV (those that would duplicate the ones in the mod folder), and replaced them with the mod ones. I did the same for WeaponInfo files, replaced the original ones with the mod ones for IV and TLAD. So, for TBOGT I shouldn't replace the WeaponInfo, that's clear. I'll still try doing the same to animations from TBOGT that I did to IV and TLAD animations. I have backups of anim.img anyway.
AngryMeatPie
So, I placed the mod animations for IV into TBOGT, now everything seems to be working fine both in the original game and the episodes. I'd like to thank B Dawg for the mod, all the guys in the thread for clarifying certain points of the mod and Be-Deliver for explanations concerning the mod installation. Many thanks, guys! People like you keep the game still alive.
