DexMacLeod
I can't imagine them ever writing a story that justifies having that many cities or even that much map. Maybe if GTA was like The Crew or Forza Horizon where it was purely about traveling and racing but GTA's main function is to tell a story. It'd be a pain in the ass to have to travel for even ten minutes to get to the next mission let alone an hour. Not to mention it just doesn't make a lick of sense either geographically or chronologically. 3Peat, DerekL, Patrizio and 2 others
Aquamaniac
The maps of San Andreas and V in one game makes no sense. The map should not become too big, it will lack detail and become repetitive, The Crew is a good example for that, a map 1.5 or twice as large as GTA V would be plenty enough. Grotti Vigilante
You would certainly think so with the amount of time we've been waiting for any new Rockstar title. 3Peat, Lexiture, Catsooey and 1 other
Catsooey
I think it would be awesome. Imagine being able to RP and live in a particular city and follow events and stories as they happen. My favorite game was San Andreas and it thrived on a feeling of being lost in a separate world, not just one city with some treeless wilderness. My fear is that we won’t be able to have a real gta game anymore because the whole concept has been turned into a Saints Row parody. Take Two will never let go of that flying bike. And they aren’t interested in single player anymore. We have the technology now to create the best GTA game ever, but I’m actually really afraid of what GTA 6 will look like. I might not even buy it at launch. 3Peat
Eternal Moonshine
I don't get where this idea is coming from. Rockstar are not trying to recreate the whole world or even slap together a bunch of old maps just for the sake of it. Whoever comes up with these ideas must be either extremely new to this franchise or doesn't understand what GTA games are about Edited July 11, 2020 by Eternal Moonshine bashovski, KingAJ032304, DerekL and 6 others 8
Totallycasual
Didn't someone from Rockstar at one point in time say that they'd one day love to see a world of GTA where you could drive to the airport and catch a plane to other cities? In my opinion, Rockstar making a new map and new city (or at least doing Carcer properly finally) is the only way they can justify calling it GTAVI. As each numbered iteration is supposed to represent more of a jump than episodic content, a new city is one of the only ways to do that now I think, personally. killdrivetheftvehicle
As someone who has done one detailed gta world map I could say that R* is able to do it. But you need an online game for it to work. If people really want it, it could be done. However they can do more realistically detailed game if they do a smaller map, and that is what they always do. They want to give the living breathing world in every gta game as well as they can. R* wants to make their games available in every possible platform, so that's why the huge map is never going to happen. Ofcourse the map is always going to be huge compared to previous games, but not as big as all cities together...at least not for a long time. R* always takes advantage of the full potential of the platforms they make their games. If the map would be all cities together, they would have to have lots of stuff in the cloud, which means the game would be online only. Not everyone has a good internet connection. They would also have to charge a huge lump of money for the physical product that they would also have to include. Not to mention that producing the game would take so much time that the consoles intended originally would become obsolete by the time the game is finished. Ofcourse it they just do GTA Online, they can have online only and all cities and never really be finished. But a game without single player story is not the kind of game I'm interested in. Mr Philips The Gey
ooooh that would be a great idea but its going to be too much for our pc's and consoles we're probobly gonna have super low fps but i like the idea. Ash-JAY
Another GTA Fan
I'll just put my 2 cent here and keep this short. I'm not for nor against this idea of GTA maps combine, but it would only be suitable as a GTA online experience, not as a main installation experience. Patrizio
We need something different. No to all maps. To wait 9+ years only to have 2/3rds of the map the same cities we're sick of playing since 2008/13? No thanks. Ash-JAY
Ash-JAY
The so-called project americas seems kinda far fetched to me. If the Project americas is true the The map would be pretty empty. R* has so far recreated 6 real life cities (LC,VC,LS,SF,LV & Carcer City) and one of their location is unknown. Let's Say GTA VI will take place in the HD universe. Which only has 2 of the previous cities remastered. Or, if it is in the 3D universe then there will be many cities but the size is too small. I'm hoping R* will remaster all the previous cities and finally Start bringing more real life cities into their games. I'd love to see Boston, Washington, The State of Ohio, Chicago and a modern version of the RDR2 map. The map maker tried hard and did a great job. But the Map still feels too empty. Anyway that's just my opinion on it. Just wanted to share it with you guys and the community. Thanks for reading.
billiejoearmstrong8
It sounds cool in theory but imagine how boring it would actually be for a big chunk of the map to be that same old GTA V one again. And Liberty City again that we left just before it with the previous game. The thought of updated versions of the other cities is cool and all but just that first problem alone means I don't think it would work. I would rather something fresh (either an entirely new place or a re-done previous place that doesn't include LS or LC). Patrizio
It'll never happen. Never. After GTA VI there may be a GTA VII but it'll probably be the last - and I can't see even that having them all. GTAhare
dreZmoL
The only thing I can think of is that a map this big would only be effective in a new Online, but even then you would have to load an island (loading screen as in Vice City) to go from one area to another. Then it wouldn't be as much fun.
