I mean, seriously, if Rockstar were allowed to do their own thing and create amazing immersive worlds without the constant pressure of quarterly results and shareholder expectations then GTA online would be a different beast to the one it is today, not this stupid concept in which a 12-year-old noob with access to a credit card or sufficient pocket money can continuously harass the entire lobby. Fun for them, mostly boring for everyone else.

Nothing so far. Sure the oppressor sucks but it is easy to combat.

Looking forward to the next update!

Oppressors. Wish there was a "street crime" filter so I don't have to deal with all the outlandish crap on this game.

I'm actually surprised that people complain about kids spamming rockets and Oppressor mk2, Like, there is no one who griefs or keeps ruining the kid.

I used to believe it when people said this until I saw all the bonuses and royalties the Houser brothers have received the last 10 years 😊

If you say what you think im saying (people shouldn't complain about kids on opp mk2's because griefers turned those kids into griefers) then just shut up, theres no justifying griefing, even if said person has gotten griefed themselves.

Lets be real for a moment, all the new low levels are royally f-ing themselves over, they are surrounded by players who've been doing this for like 7 years and at least 90% would be more then happy to help them make some large amounts of easy money if they'd just follow basic instructions, but instead all the new low levels act like total douchelords, beg cheaters for money non-stop so the first vehicle they buy can be the opp mk2, and they think griefing others is the core gameplay, well then it cant really come as a surprise that these players will get put in their place by the people that have been playing this for a little while longer, if i see some low level scrub zooming around on a mk2 annoying other players i hate that person that much more compared to some random level200 opp mk2 fool. And you can bet your ass on the fact that ill pull mine out of the mothballs, go off radar, and make sure this kid learns a lesson (use an opp mk2 and thou shalt attract more opp mk2)

I second the notion of ANYBODY complaining about all these new kids spamming their Oppressors, its annoying and they should be focusing on the actual game/not sh*te vehicles.

I can literally do the 3 deliveries of the big truck in a session full of mk2's (not overstating, did it again today literally in a session with 5 mc's full of mk2 filth) and i never get any sort of attention from them at all, im honestly a bit amazed at how i get away with this bscly every single time, am i just somehow incredibly f-ing lucky or have other players noticed this too? Is it because of my high level scaring them off, or is it maybe to do with the fact that i dont have to lift a finger for this cargo and that makes the griefers simply not interested?

 Sorry for the late reply.

The reason is nothing so complicated as that.  It's because nightclub delivery vehicles are resilient and can't be locked on to, so the griefers can't just wing in, hit one button and end your run; they have to work for it with multiple free-aimed missle strikes, which most of your sky cancer-types can't do as they're utterly dependant on the lock-on. More to the point, victory is not assured, so they don't engage.

My experience with nightclub sales is the same as yours - only rarely has someone come after me, and once they are handily dealt with they tend to back off since they don't get their easy kill. Rank 610 or so, btw.

In a nutshell, griefers are like all bullies - all hard when fighting people who can't hit back, pants-wetting p*ssies the second they meet the bigger fish.

On topic, what ruined online for me was the forced public crap - back when MC businesses first came out and we were forced to deliver in the worst possible vehicles, all unarmed, all unarmored, all lockable one-shots for missles, and with long, tedious delivery routes. All that had to happen for you to lose the sales was someone in session simply decided to take you out; you'd either get wasted by missles or run out of time trying to fight them off. Sellers, in effect, were being offered up as sitting ducks for anyone who wanted to take a shot.

In all honesty, I'd have quit years ago except for the one saving grace: solo public sessions. It is delightfully ironic that the only reason we can do that (and thereby make tons of gta$ thus no need to buy shark cards) is because R* cheaped out on P2P servers.

NULL AND VOID

Global signals, money hungry devs, a visible kill to death ratio that you can skert with SUICIDE? What? Really... Missions that fail when other non essential players die, no real gta role play. Rank unlocks stopping at level 135 when we have people rank 1,000. Being able to owned advanced weaponized vehicle at level 20...

This thread is largely bitch and moan.

Maybe some of the experienced players should do what I do: fill up their businesses with stock/assets and leave it at that. Enjoy having everything prepped and ready to go, but without selling anything because this can lead to endless and addictive cycles of stress and grind. Earned another 10 million? So what, it just adds to the pile of cash that you will never spend, so accumulate stock for the enjoyment of walking into any of your businesses, warehouses, bunkers, etc., just to enjoy the spectacle. Ending the grind/sell cycle can give you a psychological break that allows you to chill out. This week, for example, it takes discipline NOT to sell your hangar contents at double payout, but that's how you break the routine and enjoy the game.

If you're still climbing up the ladder in 2020 then GTA online is an entirely different game to the one I am playing. This can be a stressful but still enjoyable experience of running the gauntlet to get enough cash to reach some sort of financial self-sufficiency, and I empathize and mildly envy people who are still on this mission. Instead, experienced GTA online players should be semi-retired by now and enjoying it, not stressing about it. Let Rockstar stress about the next update, next-gen conversions and future games - it's their job, not ours.

This is pretty much how I am. I gave up trying to be top dog and have everything. The game becomes much more enjoyable when you're in a mindset where you don't get bothered with the grind, having a flying car, or a yacht which does nothing special. And instead you learn how to enjoy what can be enjoyed with what you have because at the end of the day a game should be fun, not feel like a second job.

....ONE guy with his flying car that shoots rockets... Well.. the flying car with rockets is the main part of this.. but like it was mentioned... Rockstar encouraging players just going in to cause chaos. Theres a time and place. Create a 'Warzone Freemode' or something. But doing missions is hard enough without some guy in a flying car..

Biggest thing was prices of everything. Like my god, why is everything 1+mil?

Yoou know how long it takes to make that?

More time than vehicles/businesses/apartments are worth.

Also, businesses require public server, which is full of people who want pvp. The flying bike was lame too.

1. The inflation, leading to too much grind required to get anything.
2. Grind locked behind paywalls (facilities bunkers and the like)
3. Grind must be done in Public sessions (even though there are workarounds)
4. Explosive ammo for the sniper rifle
5. Said ammo locked behind a randomized grind wich is also behind a paywall.
6. Unrealistic and also armed vehicles  (Ruiner, Opressors, Stromberg Deluxo etc)
7. My friends quitting as result of all this as well.

I played 2500h of GTAO since Oct 1 2013. 2014 to 2017 was the golden age before the futuristic crap (both opressors mainly) come and ruin everything.

Moved to RDO till GTA 6 launch.

Thing is, and I know I am going to sound like some kind of Rockstar shill here, if all the new cars were say, $150,000 - $200,000 then players would be able to just snap everything up.

It's pretty easy to earn $1m these days.

In principle, the cost of stuff has to provide an incentive to keep playing. If everything was easily affordable, players would soon abandon the game as they would quickly have everything.

In reality, GTAO has become something like an allegory to real life.  Only in the sense of working harder and more for less pay and money that literally has lost value.  I've been playing GTAO since early 2014 and have literally played less and less over the past 3 years.  And as far as toxic people, just like toxic people in the workplace.  Doing something that one likes literally has lost and sense of  meaning now.

Not runied. In fact GTA Online is the GTA I always wanted. Just things they could have done better.

- R*logic when it come to cars.

- Lack of logical car customisation

- Unrealistic vehicle like Oppressor

- Not having added a map expansion like LC yet

Cheaters. PC is full of them; nearly every session has one. I seem to be a target for them, probably because of my level or possibly because they are able to see a lot with that little menu of their's that they think makes me a cheater (money most likely). Can't forgot the getting kicked from sessions and having the game crashed over and over. This is just not worth my time. Even in sessions where I've been on my own I've been targeted. Oh, and the there's the issue of being accused of cheating for some BS reason. This is only a small part of what has ruined GTA Online for me, but I'll keep this short.

the constant worry that the amount of product I spent days making could be blown up in a matter of minutes by someone or something because the game sends the entire lobby, plus npcs after me. Not only that, I'm given inferior vehicles to make deliveries in while everyone else is driving super armored high-tech vehicles.

This game is such an unbalanced mess it's crazy!! Seriously, if it weren't for nightclubs or the cute modes like survival and some story content like Casino update,  I would have deleted this game long ago.

The next GTA online MUST balance this game.

To answer this question, let me explain why I play GTAO – I like to make money to buy stuff like cars, clothing and property. I mainly play invite only lobbies or solo public ones.

The tedious money-making methods and ridiculous inflation of vehicles ruined the experience. Cash is king in GTAO but the experience is no longer fun (MC business sell missions are the worst imo) but then again, were they fun in the first place? I stopped playing I/E vehicle cargo after 1 year when I sold 500 cars and made $55m.

Seriously, I have a vehicle spreadsheet where I’m only missing 3 vehicles to buy and have $110m in the bank after almost 7 years of playing. I try to wait for sales on vehicles, rarely full price. When I was spinning the lucky wheel multiple times to win the podium vehicle that I grinded for when it was on discount, to sell at 60% of the price – I was like what was the point?

That's because modders have ruined the session long before you get that far 🤣

Ohh they’re on pc too. Probably just not as many. XB1 seems to have more of them than PS4. It’s just ridiculous imo. Majority have modded accounts anyways but also now they’re doing this “I’m up on you globally” Which is new to me and I just laugh.
