Taking the "Refresh" option away in the list of jobs available after you complete a job. Now if those job options are ones that I don't like, I either have to hit "random" or back out to free mode and go into a menu to pick a new job. How does taking the refresh option away help the game at all?

Rockstar limiting key game features to public sessions only. Frankly, the cargo jobs for our businesses should be available in private/friend/crew sessions as well. We would have to fight against AI cops and AI gangs/mercenaries in order to recover and sell the cargo. We already have contact missions that use those features (ie, Simeon's repo missions and Gerald's drug missions), just set the AI difficulty to Hard permanently. I'd rather have that challenge than deal with an unbalanced PvP scenario.

I mean, what the f*ck are players expecting when they log onto this game?

Hmm I don’t know, I’m guessing some are logging in to see how they can f*ck with people and some just want to play with their friends and make money to buy fun “toys”, it’s a sandbox so to each their own.

It doesn’t help that Rockstar forces you into a public lobby to run sell/resupply missions, I wish they gave you the option because then there would be no reason to complain.

I tend to avoid engaging players in Freemode now unless they are

Already in a shoot-out with other players - I'll go and join in, usually siding with the group of least players or lowest rank

Delivering or collecting an Import / Export vehicle, which I will try to steal.

Doing any of the PvP jobs - Haulage, Piracy Prevention, Torched, Executive Search, Stand Your Ground etc - they are all fair game for engaging players in

Ghosty Face griefers on Oppressors or in Jets tearing up the lobby

Attack me or try to run me over first

Playing anything like Hot Property, Hunt the Beast, King of the Castle

Playing Business Battles

There's no sport in blowing up MC supply runs, Heist set-ups, smugglers run missions, nightclub deliveries or Gunrunnng supplies, unless they are a large, well-armed and capable crew, with high ranking members.

Now this, I agree with all except import/export. All free mode events are free game and same for PVP CEO/ MC jobs.

I personally draw the line at any CEO sell/IE, MC sell and Heist preps. Since these require prior investment from the player and they’re actually losing money when you mess with it.

I think that stealing CEO cars is fair game for several reasons

1) By trying to steal them, it satisfies the complaints of some players who say about griefers who destroy their supplies, “I wish the objective was to steal them, I wouldn’t mind so much”

2) The cars are typically fast, and if you are a good driver with your wits about you, are not quite as vulnerable as the slower delivery vans.

3) To my mind, it plays to the very spirit of “Grand Theft Auto” whereby you can steal exotic vehicles from other players and crews.

NULL AND VOID

People who launch competitive missions in freemode and either quit, use it to grief, or send hate mail when people get involved.  Haulage, Executive search, Diamond Shopping. You are literally a poor sport and it hurts my feelings. GTA Online is to the point where I literally have to ask permission to kill someone or they get all up in arms. 😆 It's very sad

Yeah and I don't mind people trying to steal the Import/Export cars... but that happens like once in 50 cases, the other 49 times people just blew them up and say "but it was red, it means I have to blow it up! You are just crying, this is gta, if you don't want to die go play farmville" it's tiring to need to argue with kindergartners as a 30 year old...

True enough. I’m just illustrating how I prefer to play. There’s no sport in destroying them. Too easy,

Today's lesson in life was how there are two kind of people in GTA Online: Ones with slowly boiling, colossally face-palming, rage-fueling desire to strangle something until eyeballs pop like silly little waterballs. The second are those dumbasses who could not do

something as simple as requiring the goddamn keycards to enter to the casino with no issues. May wrath of the gods of gaming

descend down on them, yadayada.

Oh well, did my contribution to the heists challenge. Hopefully we see something today...

EDIT: Oops, thought i posted to bitching topic.

Broomsticks, homing launchers, ammo from interaction menu - just too much stuff that simplified the game and made it way too easy.

I used to play GTA online quite a bit back in 2014 on XBOX-360 then in 2015 on PS4, then in 2016 I started playing it less and stopped around 2017.  The thing that ruined it for me were the missions getting longer, less rewarding, lower pay outs while items became more expensive, turning a fun relaxing experience almost into a day job.  Then it was also the other players online, you know the ones, the ones that have a "if it moves kill it" mentality, or the people that leave a mission when they lose the lead causing the entire event to fail.  One of my favorite updates came in mid-2014 when they added a system where if a player was randomly killing other players their dot on the map would become red and more visible and a bounty would be placed on their head, the more they killed other players the more red and visible and farther away the dot and the larger the bounty on their head, have they gotten rid of that update since?  Tell me what ruined GTA Online for anybody here who don't play it as much as they used to or either stopped playing it altogether?

I once tried to play GTA online for xbox 360, but it required some sort of update and failed, that was a few years back now.

Modders ruined the game to me, them being able to kick you, if you vote them, autokick, u cant report them

Also they can grief your stuff, blow your sales, teleport you to the middle of the ocean and we cant sell on invite only lobbies

them able to see your ip and them able to DDos attack you

Why its so hard to make dedicated servers; HWID bans and a good Anti Cheat System?

Like COD,Csgo and even Fortnite have those kind of protections

I know modders will get their way one way or another, but the idea is to reduce the 99% of them, right?

That's my biggest complain as well. Even is modders don't attack you their mods often screw up session, i.e. you can't deliver supplies, can't enter your properties, can't call your vehicles, can't start a mission,  loading screens take 5 times longer etc... My only hope that new update will deal with a least some of the mods.

- Excessive loading for every single thing in the game

- Any loading time (either joining someones session or loading into an interiour) always has a chance to just lock up and force mto quit the game

- Oppresor Mk2
- Loading Times
- Bussiness that are grindy asf

- Misisions where you always have to drive to the other side of the f*cking world to collect/drop items (Casino preps or bussiness). God help you if your in a slow ass vehicle
- Loading Times
- Bugs everywhere

However I do would like to state that the last two heists, ignoring the bugs that they contain are my favorite recent additions. If only they could add this sort of stuff to Red Dead Online (which has a great foundation) but nah Rockstar left that thing to die.

If you own an arcade in the city, 90% of the missions will be within a couple of miles. It's only brutally annoying if you have a cheap northern arcade (god help you if you have the Paleto Bay one).

The one setup I dread is stealing the Gruppe Sechs truck, because 50% of the time I have to go get it from Paleto Bay and drive it all the way back to LS. But everything else is usually fine.

I barely play these days because of these (major push factors on GTAO side, along with external pull factors) but when I do, majority of the time is spent in closed sessions/ activities, where I don't have to put up with either of these :)

I'm not a fan of MK II broomstick, period. I've reached a point in my life where half the fun in gaming comes from things being a challenge. The MK II broomstick in my humble opinion is specifically designed to cater to the 12 year olds who just want a straight ticket to success, therefore I want absolutely nothing to do with it (unsurprisingly, most of my GTA friends list are of a similar disposition; we're all dinosaurs, heh ':/). I, on the contrary got my KDR to 6.65 without having ever owned or used any of the flying cars or bikes.

I likely belong to a minority demographic, given that the majority of players these days seem to be teens and pre-pubescent children (at least if freemode is a valid metric). 🤷🏻‍♂️

Relocate. That. Sh*t. Now.

Back before i gave up on this jaw-droppingly moronic playerbase forever, I used to have a 3-strike rule for DCH with randoms. "Arcade in Paleto" was usually the third strike (since 2 of the others were "Minimum Cut" and "Incorrect Set-up" (eg 2 people on cash, Bugstars, Agg with no heavy armor). Many, many instaquits...

Then there's the hosts who refuse to drive. Right up there with "skipped L2 Keycards, can't hack" on the cockwomble scale.

Randoms, man. Randoms is what ruined online for me. So many assholes, so few bullets...

Agree with God-eater here, it is well worth it to move. I did so many more casino heists in the first few months after moving. Sometimes I was setting up almost one per day, and my friends could hardly get on often enough to do them all with me.

In general though I agree with the point you were making in the first place. I do get the idea of paying more for convenience, but it is damned obnoxious the way Rockstar sometimes weaponizes their own map. The map should feel big and rich like it does in single player; but when they make you fly from one end to the other over and over for otherwise easy setup missions, it starts to feel like just this pointlessly large, boring thing that stands between you and making money. And that definitely didnt start with the DCH. I think the first time I really got angry about it was with Gunrunning. All the bunkers are up north, 75% of the missions take you to the south end of LS--that checks out.

Absolutely, the experience becomes more of a chore than an experience, but it's having to get two of everything so you have to go back to get it all.

I remember DDH, having to collect four Deluxo's/Stromberg's despite only having two people doing the mission. I know it's so that four players can join if needed but I feel it should have been limited.

E.g. You only collected two Deluxo's so only two players can do the Job/Finale.

When the heist first came out it was a nice idea, now it's just tedious because the missions don't get updated with new features and I've mad a comment similar to this where R*, once the content is released they leave it alone and don't 'update' it.

Take the OG Humane Labs Raid, why on earth do we need four players for this heist in 2021? When one single player in a freemode session can do the exact same thing pretty much just resupplying their bunker by stealing the rail gun and it taking only 5/10 minutes?

This game is in serious need of an overhaul, js.

With a 6.65 KD you either grief with a jet or blow yourself up everytime someone shoots at you.

No suicides and I'm not that good with the jets, heh I have roughly zero jet kills to date.

Unlike all of the children, I'm a tactical player. While they're all playing head-on, guns blazing nonsense, I'll be playing strategically. That and anybody unduly targeting me is in for a very bad time, at the hands of either of a Heavy Sniper, Insurgent Pickup Custom or Akula. While I always prefer to work cooperatively for business battles and other freemode work, if you attack me, you shouldn't be surprised when the favour is returned fifteenfold; this is one of the biggest contributors to that KDR value.

Being the dinosaur amongst the kids does have its advantages I guess 😅

I don't even like the PvP killing battles; thesedays, I mostly stick to chilling out in closed sessions or racing ^^
