EdHunter
I play on Xbox and do long distance solo trades by glitching a solo lobby (I’ve spent too long building up my supplies just for griefers to interfere). For this sale I was planning on selling from the Bayou area, first glitch attempt I ended up spawning in Emerald and a full lobby to boot. Second attempt and I end up at Henigan Stead, as I’m now in a solo lobby I chose to move the camp to nearby. I make a short ride to camp where Cripps tells me “There’s someone at the fire that I don’t know but he knows you”. After a longwinded cutscene, he asks for some meat which I give him and he then tells me I’m truly a good person and he’ll some work for me soon. Anyone had this interaction before? ZombieBatman
Yeah I had it a few months ago on Xbox, haven't seen him since kcole4001
AdamNortonUK
I encounter him nearly every week, i wonder what it’s leading to though, other than just feeding him! kcole4001
kcole4001
You get the old geezer a lot in solo sessions. In public sessions he comes around like Christmas. I've fed him probably 7 or 8 times now (one day twice in the space of 5 minutes), still no idea what's up. DentureDynamite
JumpingKentFlash
I’ve killed him in every imaginable way. He’s always saying “You can’t get rid of me” now. I’ve shot him, dismembered him, fed him to gators, burned him, sliced him with every blade I own, thrown him off cliffs, left him tied up in the snow with a grizzly bear close by, drowned him in both deep and shallow waters, beat him up and had him run over by a train (with his head right where the steel wheel runs). ..... he keeps coming back. jazzbone
A week ago i decided to see what would happen if i killed him. While he sat at my camp fire i killed him with a head shot. I immediatly lost honor. Then after giving some carcasses to Cripps i found that old guy resurrected and sitting again at the camp fire. I then aimed my LeMat at him and he ran away. Overall that old guy appearing is rare and i previously have given him food. It would be cool to have a variety of characters that would come to my camp requesting food and water. kcole4001
AdamNortonUK
I’ve heard him say “I’ve been dead, before”, maybe that’s why we cannot kill him and he disappear for our character forever. If Rockstar don’t decide to scrap it, maybe it leads to something in a future DLC, the same as the duals you cannot really interact with either. kcole4001
Failed Again
I think he becomes the Blind man, in story mode kcole4001
FuturePastNow
Oh yes. I've seen him about a dozen times now. I fed him the first couple of times. Now I kill him in a different brutal way each time. Cripps says either "Finally!" or "Need a shovel?" when you kill him, too. He'll be back. Non Funkable Token
Krommer
I still can't ever get the Xbox One to glitch to solo; I've read the one where people say to hang in your camp, for the resupply mission to time out, then get another resupply mission. That still never results in getting a solo lobby, for me. I was wondering why I've not seen that old dude in forever, when he used to show up a lot. It is because I never put in a solo one any more. Assuming it hasn’t been patched, sit at your campfire, turn social matchmaking off then select change appearance. Confirm you want to leave the season then when the change appearance screen appears, DO NOTHING for around 3 minutes. After the 3 minutes back out and once back in the lobby you should only be a few footsteps away from camp. Check the player list, if you’re the only person listed, you’re good to sell. djb204
I use to see him all the time. I always provided him with what he wanted, but I turned hostile against him at our last encounter and I haven’t seen him since. Been months now since I saw him. I don’t know if my hostile reaction to him caused his absence.
