I have a bit of time on my hands so I thought I would write up a Retinue VS Gauntlet synopsis because of the interesting battle that has ensued.

 

I had to go back to page 3 to find where @Nefarious_Poundcakestarted the repeat voting pattern of upvoting the Gauntlet Classic and downvoting the Retinue Mk II. At this point, @Vill3mand @Standard Deluxe 59were also upvoting the Gauntlet Classic, which was very strong and in first place. Then Nefarious_P repeated the downvoting pattern, perhaps thinking that the Retinue was an easy target? No reaction from me. Nefarious repeats this process for a third time, and that is when Will3m starts commenting and upvoting the Retinue in defence, but not attacking the Gauntlet. I didn't react. Nefarious repeats for a fourth time, taking the Gauntlet eleven points away. This is page 5. Will3m then reacts by attacking the Gauntlet, whereas I then defended the Retinue but did not attack the Gauntlet. Nefarious goes for a fifth attack, and Vill3m counters. I still did NOT react. Nefarious goes for consecutive attack number six, which is getting tiring by now. I still did not react. Nefarious = attack number seven. This is when I commented with "What is this feud going on between the Gauntlet Classic and the Retinue MK II, essentially wiping each other out?". Will3m and Nefarious keep on attacking each other, with the Gauntlet Classic and Retinue Mk II dropping down into fourth and fifth places, respectively. This is when I finally reacted and posted, "Pretty tired of the Retinue getting bashed every round when there are clearly much worse vehicles, but it's just a game, so bring it on", also downvoting the Gauntlet Classic and later commenting with "...I think we should spice things up a little bit and have a battle of wills. You decide on your next downvote". Nefarious just carries on, of course, and this time Standard Deluxe piles in to counter my downvote, so, I made a final plea, "... I want everyone to do well, believe me, but the deal is to leave the Retinue alone as a trade off. Are you guys capable of doing that?"


And this is where the real battle began and the gloves came off! Drums roll!

 

The Retinue Mk II drops to 39 points and into seventh place. It's surely done for? Now it's down to 36 points! Then@Mrs. Buzzchips in with a bit of Retinue defence and Gauntlet attack! That's when Standard Deluxe drops out and gives up the ghost, perhaps knowing that both cars will probably be dragged down into hell, and the Retinue suddenly goes into the lead! Now, @kcole4001still has high hopes for the Gauntlet and gets behind it, but decides not to attack the Retinue. Nefarious has the opportunity to call a truce at this point, but plugs away with his repeat voting pattern. @kenmy13999decides he's seen enough and hits the Gauntlet, but doesn't consistently do so. The Gauntlet has now fallen five points behind the Retinue and into equal seventh place, and Nefarious still can't see what's happening and goes for the same broadside attack. @madebyWITTcomes into the picture and upvotes the Retinue, giving it extra impetus, and do does @myst43. The Retinue is now seven points clear and back up to 42 points. There's now a 10-point gap! Now it's 13. Nefarious is oblivious to the peril, of course, as the Gauntlet falls down to equal 10th place, and there's now a 20-point gap. @DDRazorbackhits on the Gauntlet, ouch! This can't be happening. Has Nefarious finally given up? No, of course not. OMG, everyone is piling in now and the Gauntlet is down to nine points, whereas the Retinue is up to an amazing 53.

 

The game isn't over yet and if all the Gauntlet fans around the site rally together we can have a massive ding dong right down to the line, and there goes Nefarious yet again with another attack, gasping for breath, fighting until the last. Good fo you, lad.

Gauntlet/ellie are both nice cars to just chill around in, but casino heist standpoint - not sure if worth the extra $$$ for a more more expensive getaway driver for those two slower cars (+ Eddie's getaway car location behind the substation is just meh if you ask me, same goes sultan (which is also nice ❤️) and komoda but at least they're four seaters). Surprising everon is still in the game, but it's still a four seater and Chester's getaway car locations are alright :D
