i've been considering on purchasing a opmk2 (even though i previously had one but i ended up selling it due to it making me feel like i was being seen as a griefer by other players), or an avenger and how good are they for grinding mc sale missions or fighting off griefers (if needed)?

If you feel like using your MK2 is making you appear to be a griefer by other players then... Yeah, that's exactly what you were doing. Nobody thinks just flying your MK2 or using it in missions or whatever is griefing. So don't try to weasel around and act like you owned one and didn't just go around bothering other players. Cuz you obviously DID if you felt like ppl saw you as griefing.

Get an avenger. You don't deserve an Oppressor MK2.

clinical oppression

The OP2 Its way better for grinding .

Avenger is fun sometimes but not as useful .

If you're worried about being seen as a griefer by other players - even if you're not attacking them - then simply divert your course so that you always pass a couple of streets away from players - not only will they see that you have no interest in attacking them, but the distance will allow you a little extra time to dodge any missiles sent your way.  If other people are getting griefed, feel free to send them a message to let them know you're not a hostile and offer them a hand.

The only way we can get rid of the toxic griefer culture in GTA Online is by helping each other out.

I just ride up along side and fire missiles ahead of  them to show I am not targeting them.

and I also take down MkII fools  too (first  video)

i'm still not sure, but i still remember when i still had a opmk2 and knowing what it's like when a griefer attacks you when your doing a sale (i never attack but i try to when a griefer attacks me (i'm not a pvp player)).

but i did finally fully upgraded my nightclub and moved my f1 car there (the nightclub security guard looked so confused)!🤣

Me personally I will never own a Mk II Oppressor on grounds of it is the grief tool and no matter what actions a person takes in game people will always see anyone with a Mk II as such.

The Avenger can be fun to have but bear in mind it is somewhat weak in the armor department and can sometimes be trick to navigate through Los Santos if you are flying low with it as it does not like tree's!

Get the Oppressor, but keep your distance to other players while using it. I won't argue about whether you were griefing with it or not. If you're afraid to be seen as griefer with it, set the missiles in non-homing mode, so you don't accidentally lock and shoot another player.

Also, install the flare countermeasures, not the chaff. I know chaff makes you immune to missile lock and when used right is superior, but popping a chaff near other players might give them the wrong idea, while flares can be used after a missile has been sent your way.

Get the avenger, learn to fly above griefers on OPMKiis and dive, hitting them with the propellers.  If you time the vtol toggle correctly, you may get more than one shot.

The Avenger isn't good for grinding MC sale missions at all... are you maybe confusing it with the Bombushka? Even that one only really helps you with 1 of 8 missions though.

If you're a grinder who thinks using a Mk II will make you a target... then just grind in empty sessions.

If a Mk II attacks you during a sale you pretty much have no choice but to use a Mk II yourself. Getting another vehicle would take too long, and if you try to fight on ground the attacker can just ignore you and destroy your stuff.

Avenger is rubbish.

It has its uses.

At 60% discount I think anyone who considers buying it now but doesn't will regret it later.

Do you have one? What uses are there? I did watch a few vids on them but nothing really stood out.

PvP -- especially if you're 2+ then it's borderline OP.

For PvE its VTOL capability are pretty useful along with its powerful weaponry. Again, more so if you're 2+. It also has more spawn points than regular aircraft. I will grant tho that when playing as a group, everyone having a Mk II would be better in like 99% of circumstances. (But also more boring. I once flew a MC of 8 to and from missions in my Nimbus.)

It has a vehicle workshop so you can have personal storage in the MOC instead.

Oh, and it's used in one Transform race.

Oppressor MK2: Good for solo players, great way to get around the map pretty quickly
Avenger: Still nice for solo players but mostly useful for people that play with friends (its slower/bigger target, so kinda needs other players to man the cannons, it can take much more of a beating though)

If i had to pick a favorite its going to be the Avenger, even though im a solo player and hardly use it, i just still despise the Oppressor MK2 too much, i literally only use my oppressors as counter vs others, and if you know what your doing (read: if you go off radar so they dont notice you until its too late) you can very much demoralize Oppressor kids with an Avenger, you just plow trough them midair and thats that, you'd be surprised how few of them look at the sky around them 😛

That said, if im being realistic, get an Oppressor MK2 because you kinda need one to counter all the assholes using one :(

Me personally, I'd buy the Avenger just to stop the email, lol.

But that Oppressor is quick and if you are attacked by one, it's a good counter.

the reason i grind mc businesses and do mc sales in public lobbies is i want the bonuses, but i do sometimes get lucky and find a lobby where randoms leave me alone during sales.

i might get the mk2 while it's on sale (even though i hate the thing).

Depends.

Are you an a**hole who wears a bullet proof helmet/rebreather, white face paint, black contacts and a "smell like a bitch" shirt while pleasuring themselves at the thought of ruining someone else's day then texting LZZZZZZZZ to them afterwards?

If so, buy the MKII, you were made for each other.

Even with just one person because of the huge damage it can take you can set auto pilot jump into a gunner seat and dominate a area for a while.

I kinda like getting to a objective in PVE with a armed vehicle stashed in the back and airdropping myself into the action, after clearing out the majority of enemies with the big guns.

Thinking about it you could stick a mk 1 in it and have a lethal but infanitely more fun alternative to the mk 2. Which is disguised till you get to the objective.

And if it is 70% off as SummerFreeze says, it is a absolute bargain.

I'd get the Oppressor MK-II because you can grind with it since it's maneuverable and it has accurate missiles. The Avenger on the other hand is more of a fun type vehicle that can be used to upgrade certain weaponized vehicles and to use the cannons for fun.

LOL wow, well I'm very glad your buying the Avenger but it sounds like it has been a expensive way to come to that conclusion.

Did you ride it once and remember how incredibly boring it was?

Anyway welcome back to the OP mk 2 non owners club.

i didn't buy the avenger (yet), but i did trade in my paleto bay facility for the reservoir facility (and saved a bit of cash).🤣

but i'll most like buy the avenger.

the main reason i sold my opmk2 was i remembered how much i hate the opmk2 because it's the griefer vehicle of choice.

Shiloh Comes

You are comparing apples with oranges. they both do such different things it's like comparing a Bifta with an Emerus.

The Avenger is without doubt one the most pointless vehicles in the game unless you and your pals like griefing using cannons in public sessions.

Other than that, it's just a paywall scam, along with the MOC that they thought of if you wanted to mod any military vehicles.

The OP mk2 is awesome, it's a flying taxi, a cargo collector, a motorcycle, a plane, a boat, a tank, you name it.

My Avenger comes out maybe 3 times a year to mod a vehicles somewhere when the MOC spawn would be not perfect.

I'm always on the OP mk 2 every day, going everywhere on it.

Anything in GTA is good or bad based on how you play, that's why questions like this one are so pointless and just lead to arguments.
