SopranoFan
Here's my PC: 1.3 Gigahertz, P4 384 MB Ram NVidia Geforce 2 MX/MX 400 How well do you think it will run? I'm looking to get a better video card, anybody know of a good one that will make VC work well
die Catalina die
I'd recommend an ATI Radeon 9700. Top of the line graphics card that has dropped like 100 bucks in price, but it should run vice city smooth, beutiful, clean and most importantly fast. I guarentee you'd get at least 40 fps on that baby.
TheApoc
I heard 4 MXs were running it OK and they're just slight improved Geforce 2's. Might do OK on yours

Matt0153
There is a All in Wonder 8500DV also that i think takes the place of both of those.
iguanaman99
yeah but i heard that LE was worse and that's what i already bought
Matt0153
i doubt it, ATI in many peoples opinon BUT NOT ALL(dont spam me Nvidia lovers) make great cards. I have a Radeon 9000 and its solid. You should be fine with that card.

Matt0153
Ok, this is what i came up with along with the help of the people over at Broadbandreports.com: 8500LE = "value" version, likely clocked slower than the regular 8500. the 8500LE is the only one *I've seen* that has 128MB RAM, while the regular 8500 usually has 64MBs. Andrew123654
Matt0153 Hey, Im new hear, but I heard you had a Radeon 9000.... I have a Radeon All-In-Wounder 8500DV 64MB. The thing is, I bought it off my neighbor and it came with a manuel and a remote. He told me that it can play TV off of it and stuff, but I have yet to find the software that does it. I still need to drop a tv line behind my pc to hook it up, but he said that he downloaded software to run the TV thing. You know anything about this? Edit: Forgot to say, I bought the comp from my neighbor, its a Dell Demension 8200, Radeon 8500DV, 512 DDR Ram, Win XP, 1.8 MHZ. So I guess the card came with the comp. Life of Dukkha
the 8500 is 25mhz faster than the 8500le. however, you can overclock the 8500le to make up for this. also, my LE version has 128mb of ddr ram on it. that's f*cking awesome. i say it's a great card - ran gta3 smooth as hell on my wimpy 900mhz athlon. liteflihi
I only noticed a slight difference in the 64mb and 128mb versions of the 8500. You only need 128mb if you're running at 1280x1024 or higher. Otherwise it's a waste.
