GTA San Andreas Mike Toreno Mission Glitch

So I go to the building site as told, but when I get there nothing happens. T-Bone is usually supposed to say to go to the docks but he didn't the marker for the building site stayed permanently. I went to the airport, I went to the docks, I let the time run out, and I killed T-Bone, but nothing was failing the mission. The only way I could do it was to drown myself. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm playing on Xbox 360 and no I don't have cheats active

There's a known glitch in this mission common to PC and Xbox v1 of San Andreas. I'd be a bit surprised if this effected a modern version on Xbox360.

 

The glitch usually occurs when players fly off the edge of the main map, often in an effort to glitch a few extra gang turfs - a popular activity on PS2v1. But on PC and Xbox the glitch would corrupt zone data and could prevent taxi passengers from ever spawning anywhere, and more rarely, the "Doherty" zone name won't appear when entering the area around the Doherty garage, so the Mike Toreno mission gets stuck and can't proceed.

 

If this sounds like it accurately describes your glitch, then hopefully the other Doherty zone isn't glitched too. Try traveling a little further south (road south of driving school lot) and see if you can get "Doherty" to display - because if that won't work in either zone you are probably out of luck. You should be able to test this outside of the mission. This glitch is easily repaired by GTASnP.com but Xbox files tend to be encrypted or have meta-tags that prevent tampering.
