I have been experiencing A LOT of idle players in survivals lately on PS4, is it just me?

For the past 2-3 weeks or so, I have noticed by far the most idle players when I join a survival with strangers. I've been playing consistently enough that it is for sure an issue thats getting worse and worse lately... Almost every 2nd or 3rd survival I join, at least 1 or 2 players will be completely idle, no reply from message on in-game phone... I know it's getting worse. I'm on PS4 using wireless like I have been ever since GTAO came out.

 

Anyone else experience this on a console lately?

 

I know a lot of new players are joining lately, but there certainly can't be that many assholes who just leave their characters idle...
