NisimTheGangster
When I try to save the game, it tells that an error has occured: "Save failed... There's a error with save location, check you save directory". I tried silentpatches, reinstalled on different disks and allowed it on my antivirus, but nothing helped. What I did notice is that I don't have the game files on "C\Users\YourName\Documents" and not on my "OneDrive\Documents", which I have save files from other games such as Overwatch, Battlefield 4, etc. In addition, I also found that gta_sa.set is shown at my game local files. Is it what causes the problem? Please, I need help, I don't know what to do anymore so I'm opening this topic in hope for someone to help me. And for everyone who asks I have Windows 10 as OS, I bought the game on steam, I ran the app as the administrator and changed the compactibility on gta-sa.exe. San Andreas has always had problems with it's user folders. There used to be instructions for fixing the registry on WinXP but I doubt that's a practical solution for Win10. Reinstalling is probably the best option; you want this part to work correctly rather than messing with folder permissions or admin mode just to have the files end up in the wrong place anyway. I've seen this problem fairly recently, but don't remember any solutions being posted. It might be worth another search, and if you figure it out then please share what you found. GhettoJesus
Yes, reinstall is the best option because quite a few people with the Steam version had the folder created right. But you might want to check under "C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\", that's where Vice City made a user files folder on Win10 for me. Although San Andreas got it correctly you may want to check just in case. Edited July 2, 2020 by GhettoJesus
OrionSR
Quote Path to the GTA San Andreas User Files directory is now obtained differently, increasing compatibility and future-proofing the games more Above is a comment from the SilentPatch. This patch is reported to solve problems with saving and saving in the wrong folder. https://gtaforums.com/topic/669045-silentpatch/
