How do I know if the game I have installed is censored?

So, I have GTA Vice City installed on my laptop (running Windows 10), but it appears to be censored (no blood, no taking cash from killed pedestrians, et cetera).

I installed (and uninstalled) the game several times using different resources, but the problem persists.

I'm now wondering:

  • is the game itself censored here, that is, I downloaded a special version meant for players in Germany or somewhere else without me realizing it; OR
  • is the game I downloaded uncensored, but somehow becomes censored due to certain system settings.

Is there any way for me to tell?

It's easy. You just have to find an uncensored .exe file and just replace yours. For some reason Steam thinks I'm from Germany and downloaded the german version, I just found the uncensored .exe file and now it works properly.

It's not that easy for me... 😔

I didn't manage to find an uncensored file that works. Can you help me with that?

That's weird. I don't remember where I found mine but if you just type "GTA Vice City 1.0 exe" you should find it somewhere.

I just downloaded a .exe file that supposedly solves the problem for GTA: Vice City 1.1 (because that's the version I have) and replaced the original .exe file. This time I was able to run the game, but nothing changed. This matter is bothering me. I would appreciate if anyone could guide me; I don't want to play that censored version any longer.

Thank you! It finally worked. It has been giving me a headache and I was about to lose hope.
Really appreciate your help.
