Can’t load into my online account

Every time I try to join a gta5 online lobby, it would say “ There has been an error joining a session. Please return to Grand Theft Auto V.” I tried re loading, closing the app, joining from your “ select character” and I Don’t know what to do. Help if you can....

Is your internet good because a faulty internet connection can prevent you from joining GTA Online.

Have you tried starting an invite-only lobby?

is usually when you can not connect to a public session.

Also worth mentioning: Theres been a bunch of downtime on the R* master servers recently, also causing lots of "saving failed" warnings, could be you were just trying to connect during one of these downtimes?
