Any point in owning an APC or Weaponized Tampa?

I'm selling some cars and I never considered these two before, mainly because there was bunker research and MOC missions involved in obtaining them, but that's really the sunk cost fallacy, so I was thinking about how useful these vehicles actually are.

APC: Pretty obsolete since I own a Khanjali. The APC is faster but requires two people to move and fire at the same time. I rarely do PvP; pretty much only when a friend gets attacked, but I've never thought about calling in an APC. It can float on water but I never utilize that functionality either. (Besides, I also got a Stromberg and Technical Aqua.)

Weaponized Tampa: The remote-controlled dual miniguns are fun, the car is reasonably fast, but it has pretty much the same explosive resistance as an ordinary car, so it's useless in PvP. Not that useful in PvE either when I can headshot enemies as quickly as it takes to shoot them with the miniguns, and there are plenty of other means to blow up vehicles. The Speedo Custom is even similar as it has both a remote-controlled gun, and mines, but additionally allows the use of handheld weapons. The Weaponized Tampa can be used in heists, but I know of no mission where it would provide a significant advantage.

So can anyone convince me to keep either of these two, or are they pretty much obsolete in 2020?

The APC would be cool if we could use it in heists, it would be usefull for one or two of the setups.

But as you say neither have much use as the game is. But you never know they may add a new mode or something that utilises some of these vehicles more.

I personally never sell cars/vehicles unless I get a dupe from the wheel or something, but I guess my Endgame is to own every vehicle,

Except ones I actively hate like the OP mk 2 and some of the more hateful cars, but I just wont buy them in the first place.

IMO they have both been surpassed by the vehicles that you've already mentioned, as well as 'unrealistic' alternatives such as Arena War vehicles and the usual slew of memery.

The APC is only an option if you have someone in the turret, or if you're battling extremely dumb / compliant opponents of the NPC variety who are happy to wait whilst you switch seats.

And whilst the Weaponised Tampa offers extreme horizonal-axis power through the miniguns (if you've unlocked them), its lack of armour and vulnerability to attacks from above leaves it out in the cold... on fire... circled by a Broomstick Boi texting 'Lzzz'.

I've got some much money I don't even care about that anymore. There are vehicles I've bought and sold 5 times already. And it's not even hacked/glitched money either, I just know there will always be more.

I also don't even own all garage space yet, but I have a personal rule to keep the Mechanic list to one page, which is still ~100 vehicles, so there are always some I hardly use anymore that I can sell.

I much prefer the stance and handling of the Weaponised Tampa to the stock one. Most of the weapons have limited use, but I love any vehicle that you can equip with proximity mines.

When you got something like the OP Mk2 available to use, pretty much everything else loses it's point of being owned, including the W. Tampa and the APC.

But if you still wished to own one, the W. Tampa is a better alternative as it's less awkward to use than the APC.

But don't pay full price on it, it's not worth it.

Do these vehicles have different icons on the radar?

ive never owned either ( tho I love tampas in general, so have considered it several times) but any decently weaponised vehicle that doesn’t look different on radar would be a keeper in my book, and one that can slip a mine out the back would be perfect

They do have their own icons.

Well, I already own them; I'm wondering if I should get rid of them.

I own a Mk II but prefer to not use it, although (or because) I recognize its OPness. Even then I think other vehicles have their uses like the Nightshark for PvP or the Khanjali for PvE, which has its own garage spot. Plus a bunch of others. I have a car collection but not really a weaponized vehicle collection.

Come to think of it; I prefer the way the Weaponized Tampa drives over the regular Tampa as well. Too bad we can't remove the miniguns completely.

IIRC the Nightshark and Vigilante are the only weaponized vehicles without their own icon.

(Not counting ordinary cars with peashooters like the Ardent, Comet Safari, etc.)

In this case I'd get rid of both of them, or just the APC since you enjoy driving the Tampa more.

I also own a APC but it's a museum piece on my Faciility that I have set foot in a couple of months by now.

Update: They're both gone now.

I would have only kept the Tampa if it were possible to remove the minigun/s from the roof but still have the mines. I'm pretty sure it's the  fastest vehicles with (explosive) mines, but I'll be fine with the Dune FAV, which I like quite a lot.
