As long as the game was with Arthur, I wouldn't have used that much money with him. I still had the money I got plus another 5,000 by the time I was done with the epilogue. Prices in the story are a lot lower, more along the line of what they were back then, than online. But if the Blackwater money will play a role later on in some DLC then they will probably make it possible to get to it. I think that money John got is what was left of the Blackwater money since the epilogue took place 6 years after Arthur's death. I doubt anything in the future of Red Dead will take place after this epilogue. It more than likely will be about the time period before RDR1 took place, in which case the Blackwater money wouldn't exist.
