    • A combination of two and three of Cool fast vehicles, fast motorbikes and weaponized vehicles. Including buying a Yacht too.

I chose A because you can keep on grinding those businesses and easily be able to afford the weaponized vehicle or supercar you want later down the line but a new player most likely won't know that and they most likely won't know how the businesses works.

This is what happened to me before hence why I'm making this poll. I made plenty of money on last gen from grinding contact missions, adversary modes, deathmatches and heists and I didn't move to current gen until Rockstar ended character transfers on early March 2017 so I got a PS4 and grinded heists and contact missions on last gen and the day before character transfers ended, I transferred to current gen. With the money I got which is around $50 million on PS4, I had no idea of the businesses at the time (this is before Gunrunning came out) so I went on my phone and checked on the properties and I bought the Maze Bank CEO office and added decors, an MC Clubhouse and added decor as well, all five MC Businesses in Sandy Shores and added equipment, staff and security upgrades, I got the Davis vehicle warehouse and the cheapest large CEO crate warehouse as well.

Will be adding more on the story thread.

I'd look up some guides on what to do with your first money and how to use it in a sensible way. I would at least buy:

- hangar on Fort Zancudo for access to base and free Lazers

- bunker (chumash/farmhouse) with upgrades

- nightclub linked to hangar (cargo & shipments) and bunker (sporting goods)

- Doomsday facility for Doomsday heist

- Arcade to play Casino Heist

- skip the MC businesses (terrible sale missions, grindy, too easy to grief)

- skip CEO cargo / vehicle warehouses, very grindy and too easy to grief

Next, I'd probably buy Armored Kuruma, Insurgent pickup, maybe Vigilante and Weaponized Tampa, vehicles that are generally useful in heists.

Wasting $45 million on useless stuff isn't as hard as it sounds. I imagine the average kid would "invest" it in Arena vehicles, a Scramjet, a rebreather, bulletproof helmet and Oppressor mk2. And of course, that Oppressor mk2 would not be used for grinding.

Would I report it to Rockstar? No, I'm on PC, they don't wipe money, they ban or reset your account. I don't want to attract their attention.

By the way, $45 million is a lot. I assume that is "stealth money" directly into bank account, doesn't show up in stats, not picked up from money bags?

I would avoid picking up moneybags at all cost. Those will get you banned.

I've stopped grinding, but I never regret it, because I enjoyed coming up with optimal approaches to each business. So yeah, as a new player I probably would have reported it, and now I definitely would because I already got more than $45 million that I have no use for.

True, but it's interesting to see what people do with that money even if they don't have a guide.

sometimes I imagine they do everything listed here: https://gtaforums.com/topic/955679-give-noobs-bad-advice-thread/

The average new player probably buys the new toy of the week, or the latest DLC property, because that is the first thing they see when they open internet on their phone.

A lot of newbies thought Arena was the best business, just because it was the last DLC.

I am not an average GTA Online player, I only started Online because I completed story 100% and wanted more content. I use guides and wikis in every game I play

Well tbh i'd report them to R*... I started a new, 2nd character last month (tnx Epic), it was a brand new account so he had nothing in the bank, and although i had so many opportunities to recieve millions (due to the fact that there were some modders spawning money bags - yeah, these are back, didn t see one since at least 2017 lol -), i refuse to collect them. I want to stay clean, with this new chatacter and the old guy as well...

I just happened to buy the businesses when I first joined current gen because I just happened to see them despite not knowing how they worked at the time and it turned out to be the best decision ever. I even made a solo money making guide on this forums too that explains the best things to buy and how to build the business empire.

I picked A but I wouldn't buy all businesses  right away because not all of them are worth your limited budget, instead I would buy only:

Bunker (barebones, Chumash) + upgrades;

Nightclub (barebones, Downtown Vinewood) + upgrades + technicians;

MC Clubhouse (barebones, cheapest location);

MC Coke (cheapest location) + upgrades;

MC Meth (barebones, cheapest location);

MC Counterfeit Cash (barebones, cheapest location);

Hangar (barebones, Fort Zancudo);

Arcade (barebones, La Mesa).

With the spare money, I would buy a Terrorbyte with only the Mk2 weapons workshop and the Nerve Center and then, I would buy a Buzzard for free mode grinding or a OP Mk2 (which would require further spending on the Terrorbyte, you will want to have the homing missiles and countermeasures), these would be my main workhorses for a couple of weeks.

Then I would buy these weapons as you can't get anything done in this game with just a pistol:

Special Carbine (turn it into a Mk2 version on your Terrorbyte workshop, apply all upgrades available), Homing Rocket Launcher (switch to RPG once its unlocked), Pipe Bombs (switch to Grenades and Sticky Bombs once they are unlocked), Automatic Pistol (switch to AP Pistol once its unlocked) and Pump Shotgun (turn it into a Mk2 version on your Terrorbyte, apply all upgrades available).

Now, for your business:

Get your Bunker up and running, focus on getting the research all done because you will want to have the explosive ammo for the heavy sniper Mk2, it might take some time so make sure you use your other businesses for making money.

Get your MC Coke, MC Meth and MC Counterfeit Cash up and running, but only bother to maintain production of your Cole businesses as the other two are not worth your time, use that as your passive income for the time being.

Go to your Nightclub and get it up and running, then go to it's warehouse and assign your technicians to acquire goods from your Hangar, Bunker, Coke, Meth and Counterfeit Cash businesses, this will be your main passive income.

And finally, with the contact missions and TRAIN yourself against the NPCs of this game, get used to how they behave on firefights and car chases, do all contact missions because they all out you on the most diverse situations and teaches the basics of the game  even if they are outdated by 2020 standards...You want to use those missions to get yourself to rank 135 which is where the last level unlock is (max armor capacity).

Now you should be ready to have the Casino heist as your active income source, your coke and Nightclub business as your passive income, on the future once all research is complete you can then have your Bunker as another passive source of income.

You do not need the CEO Office because CEO special Cargo and Import/Export business are too hard for a newbie and you need extra practice with NOCa first, also it's perks are available for VIPs anyway.

You do not need the Arena Workshop because that's nothing but a money sink for a over glorified adversary mode.

You do not need the facility as that's another money sink unless you're doing the Act 2 exploit but if you're a new player chances are you don't even know about it.

You do not need the Mobile Operations Center because it's a money sink and the Terrorbyte already does it's job but better.

You do not need a Casino Penthouse because that's another money sink;

You do not need a Yatch for the same reasons as the Casino Penthouse.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

If my estimations are correct, there should be somewhere around 25m left in your bank account free for spending, with this money I would invest on the following vehicles with maxed performance upgrades for racing purposes:

Progen PR4 with all upgrades;

Benefactor Krieger with all upgrades;

Ocelot Pariah with all upgrades;

Grotti Turismo Classic with all upgrades;

Declasse Yosemite with all upgrades;

Pegassi Toros with all upgrades;

Schafter V12 Armored with all upgrades;

Grotti Brioso R/A with all upgrades;

Maxwell Vagrant with all upgrades;

sh*tzu Shotaro with all upgrades;

These are the top performing vehicles for their classes on most tracks out there, that also happens to be relatively easy to pickup and learn how to drive them optimally, with only the Toros being the hardest one to handle due to it's bouncy suspension.

Bring those cars to a premium race and your odds of winning are considerably on your favor already, or just to most races really.

I did the calculations on my solo money making guide, I'll copy and paste it here. Of course all the business and properties mentioned don't have any decors in them, just barebones. There's still another 10-12 million that can be used on the Oppressor MK-II, fully upgraded Krieger, fully upgraded BF 400, Bati 801 RR and Armoured Kuruma.

I know my solo money making guide for new and well set player guide is not perfect but I'll update it to perfect it.

  • Del Perro Apartment 7 ($200,000).
  • Maze bank west CEO office ($1,000,000). You can move to either Maze bank tower or Arcadius building if you want a central location later on. If you want the Maze bank tower or Arcadius building then your going to have to grind more to afford them early. In short, there's no real best location for the offices, it's just personal preference.
  • Convenience store warehouse ($250,000). You can buy a large warehouse later once your set.
  • La Mesa vehicle warehouse ($1,500,000) or La Puerta vehicle warehouse ($2,735,000).
  • Chumash Bunker with Equipment, Staff and Security upgrades ($3,754,500) or Farmhouse Bunker with Equipment, Staff and Security upgrades ($4,479,500).
  • Great Chaparral clubhouse ($200,000). A central Los Santos location is also good if you want to do the Biker Contract missions.
  • Grand Senora Desert: Coke, Meth, Cash and Weed with Equipment, Staff and Security upgrades ($10,390,000).
  • Grapeseed: Document Forgery ($650,000). No need to upgrade.
  • Downtown Vinewood Nightclub with level five storage upgrades and Equipment, Staff and Security upgrades and five technicians ($6,845,550).
  • Terrorbyte with drone station ($2,190,000).
  • La Mesa Arcade with Master Control Terminal ($3,615,000) or Vinewood Arcade with Master Control Terminal ($4,270,000).
  • Buzzard and basic Bati 801RR ($1,765,000).
  • Armoured Kuruma ($525,000 with trade price).

Cost to own everything needed for the "Well Set" guide is: $32,885,050 - $35,500,050.

I'd report it to R*.

IMHO climbing the ladder and building the criminal empire piece by piece is one of the most satisfying things in the game and it extends the longevity of the game.

Glitching millions of dollars to get years worth of content in the matter of minutes sucks the joy out of the game.

True and I've felt satisfaction grinding my businesses to get the weaponized vehicles I want. The early stages of progressing can be hard but once your well set, it feels so good.

I had someone give me half a billion and I bought everything I wanted with it.

After 4 years on console I did the play/grind thing from rank 1 to just under 1000. I swapped over to PC and there was no way in hell I was doing that grind again, so I just did a character transfer of sorts.

Didn't matter though because the prettier graphics and much better frame rate couldn't change the fact that I was bored to death of the game.

If this was back in 2015 when I really focused on the game I would have reported it because starting with nothing and working my way up to everything I could ever need and more was much more fun to me.

PC is notorious for modders and false positive bans and wipes. I can imagine the horror of getting wiped and reset after grinding very hard. I also enjoy starting from the bottom and reaching the top by putting that hard work.

If someone dumped that much on me, I'd report them (if possible, not that it'll do much but I'd feel better, lol), quit and delete that account and start a new fresh PSN and go again most likely.

It's what I did when some old gen twat did just that and I learned current gen doesn't have this stuff happen. Granted, back then there was an awful lot less phone calls/text badgering players. But if I was caught out by this tomorrow for example, I'd try to gather a few buddies to redo the regular heists criminal mastermind which is a breeze for me and a comfy $12m+ then buy an arcade and start heisting there while buying the businesses to shut the phone up and get a nightclub up and running to further add a few bucks.

Easy peasy. :)

If your on console then you shouldn't get banned for unwillingly getting 45 million unless earning billions or trillions in a short sitting. Your more likely to get banned and wiped for lesser things on PC since it notorious for false positive bans and wipes. I'm a legit grinder myself and also wouldn't take the money but if I unwillingly take it then I would buy businesses.

I'd not be worried about any potential bans, just prefer to play my way through is all. If I was unwillingly given that much, the account would lose all meaning to me and I'd dump it.

I don't grind this game as it's just not my style, but I play enough to not need money through on call shenanigans and mixing it up with friends to hit a target or make money making that much easier naturally. :)

Just buy some cars and other fun things, forget about the grinding, I've done that in a previous life already.

Well not only that, but what's the point of owning millions for doing nothing ? I even refused to have a 2nd character with the 170 mil. the main guy has, and got me a fully new (free) GTA copy.... It's about playing the game, it's about the fun...

I'd never get a second copy of the game because I put way too much effort into stuff that would take longer to transfer than grinding to $45 million. If I get banned for doing non-money glitches or because of a false positive, then I'll just stop playing altogether. 🤷‍♀️

set up businesses so the nightclub can produce money for future needs.

If i was a new player, I would probably spend it, but it's possible I would be banned for spending /having it. Probably better just reporting it (even if it will not change anything)

$45 million is peasant money.

A couple years ago I would've put it into business investments or even earlier, into a Savage or Buzzard to make completing contact missions more efficiently.

Today, I'd take the money and put it into bonds, or buy an Arena War Issi and just dupe those. I don't have the time or patience to treat this like a second job anymore.

Either way, I wouldn't buy a Dipsh*t MKII. I hate that thing and everything it stands for with a passion.

If I were a new player and this happened to me...

For the first $35 Million I would buy all the businesses, properties (apartments, hangars) and upgrades I wanted. Including services like the MoC, Avenger, etc. All the most expensive but useful items in the game. Then if I had money left over, I'd buy the expensive weaponized vehicles I wanted. Get the aspirational purchases out of the way so I can reduce the need to grind.

For the remaining $10 million, I'd spend that on clothes, cars and guns. Gotta have some fun with it.

Yes, I knew someone was going to ask this but tbh, I mainly grinded on PS3 for years and decided to make the move to PS4 just before character transfers finished.

I did some calculation and found all the business with full upgrades to certain ones and MOC, Avernger, Terrorbyte etc will cost around 40 mil but I like your thinking. A majority of new players who got that money would unfortunately splurge out on unnecessary things such as supercars and Arena war stuff.

Just buy some cars and other fun things, forget about the grinding, I've done that in a previous life already.

Grinding can get boring, as a grinder myself, I feel burned out already.

I'm not for money glitching but I'm not against it either due to the hard work needed.

Me too, if I were to get false positive banned and wiped then I would give up on the game together due to losing all that years of hard work.

You won't get banned for having 45 million. PC players have been falsely banned and wiped for lesser things.

I'd blow most of it on fast cars and hookers. Probably waste the rest.

It's what a lot of new players would do.
