I Eat Paste Posted May 10, 2003 Share Posted May 10, 2003 For those very fortunate few who got the game early, is there anything different, anything improved (besides the graphics obviously). A friend of mine works at Gamespot and I played his copy while he was playing Suikoden III. The only thing I really noticed that was different from the PS2 (and maybe I'm wrong) was that on escort missions, the person who's following you can get on the back of a motorcycle! It was so cool. The gameplay was about the same, maybe a bit smoother. I'm having trouble controlling the remote control helicopter though... pain in the ARSE! GTAZ Posted May 10, 2003 Share Posted May 10, 2003 Not a god damn thing... stupid game is exactly like the PS2 version so far.. lamn rip off of a console port.. doesn't take any of the PC's power into account.. stupid specs say it needs a 700 mhz processor.. well, it runs damn fine on my kids 550 mhz Geforce 3 powered computer at 800x600x32.. There aren't even skins added.. no new stuff to mention.. graphics look like crap compared to games that are being released lately for the pc.. No Multipayer... whatever.. R* you can take your PS2 game and keep it there because it don't belong on a PC anymore.. I played all the way through it on the PS2 and it wasnt as good as GTA 3, mostly because the 'wow' factor was gone.. the ability to enter buildings is limited to the fact most of the buildings are small.. Animations suck crap, vehicles drive poor, and the city doesn't seem that big compared to much better games like Mafia (which is 100x better then GTA VC).. I am so glad I didn't plunk any more money on the PC version.. now off to uninstall it and wait for better games like Driver 3 and Half Life 2. GTAZ Posted May 10, 2003 Share Posted May 10, 2003 Umm.. first of all my PC is a Amd Athlon Xp 2600+ with a Geforce 4 Ti 4600.. i installed it on my kids computer also and it runs fine.. Secondly, WTF are you talking about buildings being at a premium? There are only a couple of buildings in VC that are decent size , the rest are just small. bradlavigne Posted May 10, 2003 Share Posted May 10, 2003 Does anyone know if they fixed all those real estate bugs like the guns not going to your hideout if you bought hyman condo and stuff, ive played it on ps2 once and it was cool, but it had a few noteable bugs and glitches that would ruin the game. And GTAZ, about the skins, in the rockstar mailing list, it said they will release an official skin pack later this month, and i have another question, can you only change your skin of the starting clothes? cause i think thad be stupid. THe few things that was better in Mafia than in GTAIII was when you ran into the pedestrians, because it sez BOOM like it's suppose to not and not like in GTAIII. But then again there are more freedom in GTAIII which is fantastic thing about it and yes Mafia did run pretty slow sometimes because of the large map Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
