Jordan Posted April 30, 2003 Share Posted April 30, 2003 Sticky this post. There is almost no hype for this game. That is a GOOD THING. Vice City for the PC will not be your usual port. The game has been "built from the ground up for the pc." This basically means that the graphics will be twice as sharp, the sound will be the best quality, controls are tweaked with different modes, and much more that you have heard about. There is no doubt this will be a better experience than the PS2 version. One word: mods. I believe that this game is going to have the most amazing mods and will be compared to Desert Combat (Battlefield 1942) and Counter-strike (Half-life). Just wait and see. The official release date for the USA is May 14, 2003. The official Vice City PC site says so. The press release that said May 13 is old. The game ships on May 13. Unless your stores are very close to the warehouse where the game is shipping out, you won't get it till the 14th. I have confirmed this with four official sources. There are SO many more ideas easy to think of than liberty. I mean think about it, a slum city cant be turned into much comapred to a SUNNY GREAT CITY that just makes you feel more happy to be there. also/...............1 word...........motorbikes............ WTF do YOU think. i try not to get to hyped up over a game, after all, it's only a game, and i like to be surprised... so i don't speculate. 3. yes, i think the name GTA in gereral is a name that will stay on the minds of both young and older generations for years to come, while it may get old, and people will look back and say "what sh*tty graphics". they still won't be able to floor the gameplay. Rockstar has struck a goldmine in that it created an orginal, unorthodox, amazing, intricate and endless, addictive style of gameplay. i won't ramble on any longer... Then i go in the game drive a little bit around and then i do some missions 1-6. Then i do what i want.... i drive through Vice City......... Mafiozo Posted April 30, 2003 Share Posted April 30, 2003 Hey d8cam mate 1) First thing i'm going to do ,after getting awed by the graphics and actually the fact that I am playing vice city on my OWN PC, I will probably grab a car, or better, a motorcycle, and start scrolling around the city.. in the beach, by the hotels sand that avenue, deeper inside vice to the slums and the industrial kind of area. Figure out how to make wheelies, and stuff like that. and check out all the stuff I always wanted to. I think that i'll just get off by climbing on some building in the miami beach like avenue and look at the scenery. it's awesome in the ps2. 2) I am really really really excited. even more than the excitement that flooded me before the GTA3 PC release. i've dreamed of having this game since the first time I saw it's ps2 videos and played it on my friends ps2. I recently started looking on old threads, reading lots of Vice City PS2 reviews, and just wetting my already very wet appetite. It's good to pass the time. along with modded GTA3 . 3) Ofcourse GTA3 is a classic. every GTA is a classic Infact. I will be going to play GTA3 after making this post. 13 days! good topic d8. U can make cars (yay) and buildings (yay) but how long does it ake to make a total conversion?? SThere is not 1 total convesion of gta3 out yet! So vice will also have that problem! I try not to be, but I really am... I probably think about it once every day. 3. I am getting very tired of gta3, but it's not a "classic". I still love it though. (don't get off topic on this) 1. test it on my pc, and getting running smoothly, and play until all islands are unlocked. Then mod the f*cking bejeezus out of it. 2. I just blew a load in my pants after that last batch of screenshots 3. In a way yes, it spawned the VC engine, and will also be used in SA, so gta3 was the first, and the first is always a classic. (don't get off topic on this) ********** My responses: 1. cruise around for a bit, get a feel for it again, maybe do some cop missions to rake up some cash fast and buy a property with a garage. finally do some missions, cuz I saved them for the PC version 2. I cannot stop thinking about it. the little things and improvements from gta3 make it so much fun, even without MP 3. Of course, one of the first games of its kind 8 more days! May 13 and 14 are listed across the web because thats when the game will first arrive to stores. If you are lucky, and I mean REALLY LUCKY, you will get the game on the 12th.
