itsjake88
I know there has been some dbouts about the CD count of Vice City. If you think about it, it might not need to be on a DVD or 7 cd's. If you look at the system specs, it says you need 1.55 gb of disk space and 2.17 gb if ur video card does not support something. I am pretty sure that the game itself will be 1gb and the audio will be 500mb, give or take. So I predict that it will have 3CD's. What do you guys think? mawz
nah minimum specs are cd drive so it wont be dvd OMFG . You dont need a DVD drive to play a DVD game cd. Yes, retard, you do. A CD-Rom drive is entirely different than a DVD-ROM, CD-Rom drives cannot read DVD's. Thats just like comparing VCR's to DVD Players.
itsjake88
LMFAO! I just made an ass of myself again. But this is sweet. Now I can burn Vice City when it comes out.
50-50
DVD game cd. I think there'll be 3 CDs, 2 for game content and again 1 with the radio stations...
Four20
If it was released on DVD do you think anything would be better than if it was on a CD-ROM? like graphics perhaps?
itsjake88
DVD game cd. I think there'll be 3 CDs, 2 for game content and again 1 with the radio stations... I think 2 CD's to install. The music will install to your HDD and the game will. The other CD will be just so that you need a CD to play.
superdino
No, grafix would not be better. They would be using the DVD for storage space, not graphical quality. The only reason there are better grafix w/ DVD's for console games is cause you can't change the specs ie: resolution.
limbfilter
Hey guys...It will be only 2 cds....One for install and one for audio...How do I know? Because the Mod I made for the ps2 version also fits the game on one cd and only loses the radio stations (except for one) If you absolutly need more proof...Then start with the gta3.img files on the disc....There's like 12...but only one gta3.dir The others are dummies and only there to take up space... Dude, the PC version is way more complex than the PS2 version though. They hardely spent any time on the graphics on the PS2 versioin, and that is why it is soo small. I have heard today that the PC version willl require 600+ more megs than GTA3 so i am expecting 3 or 4.
Icarus
Really, who cares how many CD's there is to Vice City PC, as long as you get to play Vice City, then that's all that matters.

MC HadeZ
i'd rather it be 1/2 insrtall CDs and one game, cuz it'll be more handy..becuz since the day ive had GTA3 it's been locked in my cd drive lol...but if it comes to more CDs it wont stop me from buying it or anything. It's still the game

Not very...Graphics have nothing to do with it...All the models are exactly the same...only graphic difference will be the resolution you play at...And where did you hear it'll need 600 more megs? Maybe on the music cd... Just because it's a good game doesn't mean that it'll need to be on 3-4 cds...But belive what you want about the game size...If you don't want to belive someone who's been comparing the pc and ps2 games for 3 months, then that's your decision... DJNeuphoria
It needs 600mb more diskspace than the min/reccommended specs if your graphics card doesnt support Texture Compression.
Tenacious_Dude
F*ck, how many did GTA3 have? Why is there more than one? How do you fit 7 CD's into the disc drive thingymablob? This is why PC sucks. Too many god damn problems. 7 CD's, 1.5 gb space... How can they hype that up? Ad for PC Vice: ... GTA Vice City for PC comes with 7 unneccessary and space wasting discs. Speaking of wasting space, it also takes up 1 and a half thousand mega bytes. It also costs as much as the console version, but you should still buy this because it has better draw distance. Yes, you can see a building from a long way away. Yes, another $100 for buildings. How can you not wanna buy this? You know what jake? You're worse than Ryan Price. Have you guys ever noticed that the games on the cd's are packed to small space. And what does it matter how many cd's it will be? The game is still going to be the same. Most of the stuff can be fitted to hd so there won't be a problem. Mafia had 3 cd's so I think it will be the same.
DJNeuphoria
Games nowadays have large installs 1.5 is actually nothing compared to some games. UT2003 was around 4GB and Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance was around 7GB. They all however have much better quality of graphics and potential than a PS2! Are you trying to say that games developers should design games around the size of a PS2 disc and PS2 restrictions to make console gamers happy rather than enhancing games quality on the ever expanding PC? If you dont have a good computer and dont like PC games, then you go out and play PS2, you will just have to settle for less. I pitty you though, missing out on the PC version. PS, GTA3 had 2 CD's. You would use one CD(ONLY ONCE) to install, and the other to play with. Oh yeah, and once again, f*ck YOU!
