This is an actual ingame pic of GTA: Vice City. The guy who took it had widescreen on so dont mind the distortion. But, you can clearly see there is no blocky light thing on the taxi to the right. Now i cant till i get it  :( .

The clear box that is in front of your headlights and rearlights,

Good thing that they've finally fixed that bug..

BTM Sentinel 6

i know what ur talking about but i don't see it in the pic u posted.  If u drive a car at night w/ lights on & do a side view you will notice a large block around the front and rear lights matching the light color which i find very annoying especially on motorcycles.

Thats because thats a pic from the PC version, which is the fixed version that doesnt have it.

Ya it is.. that could be why it has blocky lights, when the other cars from VC don't seem to have them.. :/

hey are the dff files for gta vice the same is the ones for gta3?  or do you need to mod them so that the windows shatter when shot at and the tires pop?

[EDIT] o yea i forgot.  is it still a big pain in the ass to replace models.  ie: img tool, txd tool, ect?  i heard R* was going to support modding in vice.

this lights on the screen on the top are glaring so much, you can't even see the boxes ;)

I didn't expect the problem to be fixed, 'cause it's in the PS2 version, too, and it's might be an engine problem...

From the same site

Touche! The light problem IS fixed, from the same site that has "proof" that it isn't.

Don't worry, the headlights work now :-)

lol, did you take a look at the backlights on the sportscar in the screenshot you posted?  :p

@spike228: car importing into VC already works! Check this

Thanks Apoc ;)

I was kind of worried.

In gta3 that cool light effect wasn't included. I'm talking about this : lights.JPG

You can't see the effect in PC-version.

Yah, the boxes themselves aren't the glitch, it's just that with GTA3 PC we got the boxes.... and nothing else. No headlight glare like in GTA 3 PS2, GTA VC PS2 and now GTA VC PC.

That's why it's called the "box glitch" because we only got the boxes, we didn't get the glare  :)

Johnny The Homicidal Maniac

Fun, I've owned GTAIII for almost a year now and I hadn't noticed that light effect, haha :sigh:

I wonder if we can take something from VC and put it into gta3 to get the glare back...

I was thinking the exact same thing, there might be a different 'dummy' name for lights with glare.
