All games are expensive; otherwise the owners wouldn't have a living. Games should be bought regardless of the price. But if there's somethin wrong with the cd, or some sh$t like that there SHOULD be some sort of moneyback. If there's no moneyback, warez might be a good option . So technically, if these violate the EULA (since we all know they inevitably modify the EXE), it would be wiser not to discuss, or even mention, those patches on public forums. Perhaps it would be preferable to PM people who are having censorship issues? But then, it would deprive the community of the information... Very touchy matter. What do you suggest? Demarest Posted June 1, 2004 Share Posted June 1, 2004 I guess nothing. Technically it's against the EULA to touch the EXE at all or distribute tools/info on how to. Yet EXEs DO in fact get distributed and many tools have been released that do so as well. So hard to call. I think the bottom line with the no warez rule is copyright infringement.
