Exactly, that's my point. Although, even the PS4 footage is still from their internal PS4 build that looks slightly better. If they used actual PS4 footage it'd look pretty bad.

i know rockstar long time ago and as a fan rockstar always drops new games and remasters with high qulity so they about to remaster gta v again and i have high doubt it will not look like rdr2 and the proof we see how gta v from ps3 to ps4 was a shock so im sure rockstar will release gta v with a shock graphics and emprovements

Rockstar does need to communicate, but I honestly wouldn't say this particular thing is Rockstar's fault. Sony just figured they'd reuse footage from the PS4 version of GTA 5 and not claim that it isn't actually PS5 gameplay.

I'm glad the trailer was finally debunked as not being from the E&E version. That would absolutely not be worth whatever high price tag Take-Two throws at it just for some PC settings and frame rates. Hopefully it's a lot nicer looking.

It's funny how this little snippet has generated more activity for this topic since the initial announcement. It's also funny that people think there is some ulterior motive or conspiracy that controls only the GTAV portions of Sony's trailer. Effortless marketing on Rockstar's part, really

No doubt there will be a graphical upgrade, IMO. Relying on the same graphics everyone is already used to would be shooting themselves in the foot.

These are official PC screens. Bullshots aside, the PS5 & Series X versions will look at least as good as this, when we see official screens/trailers.

I disagree with you there Paul. GTAV looks excellent on PC (with the ultra settings). There may not be as many NPCs on screen but the lighting is sure great.

Oh, I wasn't saying it was bad. We're in agreement, the PC version looks amazing. I'm just saying that the PS5/XSX versions will look on par with PC, at the very least. But Rockstar are known for using bullshots. The trailers and screenshots they use are never 100% representative of the final product.

Forbiddent west goes on pre-order the 2nd of September which is a Thursday (which is when playstation typically hosts thier showcases/events), could have an announcement this week  about state of play.

I doubt it will be shown at any State of Play shows tbf. Probably on their own accord

Whatever they do, I hope it's soon. We're nearly in September and literally only have the release date, resolution + FPS, and a random tidbit about the LS Tuners vehicles. I could've sworn we at least had some promo pics by this point in time before the Enhanced Edition release in 2014.

 

EDIT: Actually, yeah, we had that whole E3 2014 announcement trailer.

I think we had a trailer in june for the ps4 release of gta v, but now it's incredibly close and still nothing really

Yeah, that's right. There was an announcement trailer earlier in the year, which is already far more than what we have now with E&E just 10 weeks away.

I think people are forgetting that this is an 8 year old game. And as popular as it is and as well as it's selling, they aren't going to market it the way they did in 2014. They can very easily get away with showing a trailer on November 1st and a handful of screens and launch the game shortly after.

They could do that, but it doesn't seem quite as good of an idea when they've also got that whole situation with the mass disliking on their trailer last year. Some footage or pics at this point would be appreciated. People are still under the impression that it'll be very minor thanks to how absolutely no pics or footage have been revealed at all.

They've had over a year to rectify that, then. Yet here we are. Rockstar clearly 'don't care'. They will do what they want, and it will work.

I would like to agree, but it seems relatively possible due to the larger scale exclusivity E&E has with PlayStation and also because the only time we ever got a trailer, it was through a PS event

It looks good but IMO at the same time not good enough for something, that could be released on PS5.
