Rockstar's formula for success ever since GTA V released is to not communicate with the fanbase and not give a f*ck about what we have to say, so this kind of "protest" will amount to nothing.

Which is why I said in another post I tend to stay off the major platforms until the hype has died down and moved onto other things that really aren't of interest to me. The hivemind is clearly hellbent in telling people to "stop being ungrateful brats and appreciate your getting this". I've tried talking to numerous people part of different hiveminds when it comes to gaming and they like to believe their right when they're clearly wrong but their too stupid to even realise that. The worst I've dealt with is the crossplay saga, the bums back in the day screeched that the decision to reject crossplay on the PS4 was a great move by Sony and anyone who opposed the decision on any major social media platform was shut down and was told they don't either know how economics work or aren't thinking of the shareholders. Guesswhat? a year or two later we have crossplay on the Playstation Four for a lot of titles and a majority of those people praising Sony on blocking crossplay aren't anywhere to be found.  They must've gotten real upset when Sony eventually turned around and decided to accept crossplay after all. 

 

Anyway this could've been something to do with microtransactions for all I care & the Hivemind for what ever reason still would defend it. The FACT they don't allow unhappy people to voice their opinions anymore without resorting to sh*tting on top of people is disappointing to say the least.

But you're being illogical. Why shouldn't they release it? It's not like them not releasing GTA V changes anything for when GTA VI gets released.

 

Sony 100% paid Rockstar for this announcement and timed exclusive. Why not take the free money and then produce even more GTA Online revenue? Someone predicted that they will stop updating the current-gen version like they did with old-gen to force people onto new-gen so Sony ends up winning even more consoles and memberships sold. It's a mutual relationship where both parties piggy back off one another in the long run, a genius business strategy.

 

 I'm sure GTA VI will be worth the GTA Online abuse we have had to endure these past 7 years with all the cash flowing into the production quality. RDR2 was excellent, now imagine that cranked to 11 on new-gen for GTA VI.

I mean the only way I'd buy it is that IF they expand the map or something. I feel they should remaster Liberty City from GTA IV and add it to the GTA V online "ps5 version" as an exclusive DLC then we could fly from LS to LC, or expand the map with the rest of SA otherwise it would be the same sh*t with just a graphics upgrade smh

We care about ourselves, we don't care about a big fat company getting more money. I'm sure GTA VI will be a dissapointment after GTA Online abuse we had to endure. They can do that, but it requires them to blow my mind if they do. I just don't see that happening.

This is what I think they will do. Why would they make GTAO a standalone now? I think they make VI a single player experience and pretty much nuke GTAO to feature the mechanics of VI and include the map. They could POSSIBLY keep V's map, but idk about that. I just think there is something more to this. Not defending them re-releasing, but I don't think rockstar is that out of touch with their fan base.

You have a beautiful singing voice since this sounds music to my ears. However do you really expect that they will keep the same engine for Vi? Because i dont see this coming to fruition if they have another engine.

 

Hell if they just add the ability to switch shoulers like Rdr i am ok with this engine.

I watched the Sony stream live on Youtube which actually had the text chat left on (apparently they switched it to emojis-only on Twitch). The chat was just a constant steady stream of make GTA VI, announce GTA VI, give us GTA VI. And s***ing on the games they were actually showing.

 

I don't know what Rockstar is doing.

 

Edit: that old GTA IV trailer reminded me just how incredible that game looked when it was new. Better than anything that came before.

I feel like so many of these people believing in these major enhancements such as improved physics and such are subconsciously clinging on to the last ray of hope that Rockstar is no longer being solely driven by cash and still want to please the fans. In my opinion, it'd be very surprising if there was any substantial changes beyond graphic upgrades and new Online content. There is currently nothing to suggest any major significant changes that would justify us buying it for a third time, and it pains me to say it, but I feel like this is very much the beginning of the downfall for Rockstar Games quality.

Pretty sure the bonus content for GTA V will be some more collectible sets, just like the Returning Player Bonus on PS4/XB1, like this game don't have enough collectibles already. That is, if they even include something new on the SP mode.

I honestly think this is why they didn't do a Pro/X patch so they can CLAIM they've "overhauled" the game to get it running in 4k, hell if we're lucky then maybe 60fps too, the consoles were only ONE setting behind for Particle Effects and Grass and only had 8xAF, so just changing those to max and getting the game at 4k60 would be enough to sell to people again for $40.

Lol that fan trailer do a PC modded version as PS5 bullsh*t version is just so dumb, ''ENHANCED EHNACED''  edition will never have that graphics, I read on RockPaperShotgun that there will be no next gen pc version but PC will be only platform still supported after ps5/xsx will be out. So it's already obvious that version will be no inferno, especially when they just used old trailers in presentation.

I love the game! I'm still playing it on my xbox one x and will be on my xbox series x!

 

Not really an online player, but I am hoping for some more love on storymode on the next gen.

this game aged like f*cking sour milk. it's about to be released for the PS5 and it still most likely won't have an advanced physics engine, even though that physics engine was there in another game two generations ago.
