At the very least we can hope that Rockstar finally wakes up and sees that we want something new from them and not the 100th re-release of GTA V ... this is basically a PC to PS5 port, nothing more. I didn't expect much but even now am letdown. Nothing new, like seriously there's no new content? And delayed. hahaha. I sure hope it's because they wanted to make place for this rumored GTA Trilogy remaster.

To be fair, you're changing the record now, but for a good few months the staff at GTANet, including yourself, spent multiple times heavily insisting that this isn't going to be a basic PC port and that Rockstar are clearly taking their time for a reason, as well as liking posts and agreeing with posts talking about this game being moved to the RDR2 version of RAGE. It's only in the past two weeks that yourself, Kirsty, etc, started backing the the term "Rockstar have more important things to work on train".

What a bloody cashgrab. Xbox Series and PS5 consoles already have 'seamless switching' and fast loading times with BC. They could/can release a patch to increase the resolution. This is absolutely nothing. What a massive disappointment

As of now, this is good situation for me, not so much for new console owners and those who wanted better graphics. I don't have a pc capable of supporting R* unoptimized pile of trash anyway, which could be brute forced so to speak with high end hardware (Cayo Perico horrible stuttering and low fps) and i don't see them charging anything for E&E on PC, so that should save me some mula. I imagine with somewhat better graphics they would bump system requirements for the PC to insanity given how bad are those for deathloop and far cry 6 which looks almost the same as previous games (dishonored and FC5) and high prices for GPUs because of mining mudafakas among other factors.

I feel like all this disappointment is coming from the simple fact that this is the only major R* thing that they have announced in the last 3 years. The fact they showed off such a short trailer simply tells me that perhaps this port of GTA V is not really their main focus right now. The fact that we've had basically zero marketing about E&E this past year supports that. Now imagine what the situation would be if for example they'd announced a new game earlier this year or last year. Everyone would be focused on that, and no one would really care about E&E.

 

All of the disappointment stems from the fact that since R* haven't announced anything major, E&E is the primary thing we're focusing on. Perhaps E&E was supposed to be a simpler port in the first place? I don't know. No one but R* really knows. But all of this begs the question: What in the name of the lord have R* been doing with this port for literally a year and a half. Did they rewrite a large portion of the game's backend? Just how many people are working on this? Is it a smaller team evident by the lack of major graphical improvements? What do they mean by "enhanced gameplay". Only time will tell I guess?

If anyone needs to do Damage Control that is Rockstar, not GTANet. They (R*) are the ones releasing a not so enhanced version of GTAV on PS5.
Plus, GTANet doesn't owe us or anyone any "damage control". Like us, all they do is pure speculation until there are proper news. 

They are not an official news source and therefore don't need to revert any "damage". It's entirely the followers and/or readers/users fault's for setting up their expectations in tandem with others.

Someone mentioned on reddit some weeks ago what E&E means, ''expanded'' are weapons and vehicles from online available in story mode and enhanced is 4k 60fps, however said that will probably turn out to be correct.
