Option to remove spoiler

Seriously guys, there are cars that I didn't buy because I have no option to remove spoilers, that would be really interesting.

 

All of which can drastically change the appearance of many cars

You can remove the spoiler from the Comet SR with a LSC option.

 

The spoilers can also be removed from the Jugular and Emerus with a simple glitch. (Buy the 2nd option, press Up, Down, Up quickly, then buy the stock option after the spoiler disappeared.)

 

The Tyrus is a race car so it makes sense that it has a spoiler. If you want a non-racing Tyrus, you can buy the GP1.

 

I'm not a fan of spoilers on non-race cars either, but at least for those you mentioned there are solutions.

I've always wanted a Kuruma with no spoiler. It looks pretty clean. But yeah, it sucks moth balls that you can't remove the spoiler on most cars that have a factory spoiler on them. 

 

I know there are a few cars that can come with or without a factory spoiler, e.g. Infernus and Futo, with the latter having the glitch to remove the factory spoiler.

It's possible a merge glitch may be required (no "extra_1") instead of the simpler LSC glitch. It can be removed though:

 

 

I don't own one in online anymore, so I can't test it.

Always felt that lip spoilers and other subtle spoilers could have been available on far more cars.   Huge race spoilers, Carbon spoilers on alloy legs, front valances with little metal arms, and stupid rear diffusers.   They designed an 18 rated game with trim mostly designed to appeal to 8 yr olds..

Wait, I thought they patched the ‘remove spoiler’ glitch for the RE-7B? Or am I being punked?

I tested that one with SP mods like the Kanjo and it worked. I own neither in online so I can't try it there.

Progen Tyrus is not good for race dude... and the GP1 is a Mclaren F1, dont do that... 

 

We need glitch to make it possible, with the option to remove whitout glitch would be better.

I didn't say the Tyrus was good for racing; just that it is a race car so I don't mind the spoiler. Actually if I wanted to make a clean version of it then the irremovable Pißwasser sunstrip would annoy me even more.

 

But the Tyrus is a McLaren F1 GTR "Long Tail" mostly, both the liveries are taken from F1 GTRs, so the "stock" version is indeed the GP1.

I know, but is Saleen S7 too, and if we have a option to remove spoiler gonna be a good thing, i really need to transform this car on Saleen S7.

Well, the GP1 is the closest we'll ever get to a recreation of a real car in GTA Online because Rockstar won't be getting licenses -- because they don't want to pay or because car manufacturers don't want to grant them. Probably a combination of both.

Midnight club has a pretty small number of cars. And if rockstar decided to mix real cars with imaginative ones would be just a mess. Better staying the way it is

Merging does get rid of the spoiler, however when you take it into the arena workshop to save the merge, the spoiler reappears.

Hmm, interesting. I'll give it a try myself to see if something can be done there... I can waste the $200k buying and selling a Kanjo.

@Standard Deluxe 59, you're right the Blista Kanjo's stock spoiler pops back on after visiting a mod shop. That's too bad; I guess it works like the PR4 and R88 flags in that sense. Probably the RE-7B as well. I'll correct the the list.

 

EDIT: Actually the spoiler got removed again after I called the car through the Mechanic. Weird.

 

It's probably for one of these reasons:

1. I had the stock spoiler on my Kanjo before the merge
2. I used an Oracle XS for the merge (any car *without* an extra_1 entry in this list)
3. I play on PC

Hmm, I'll try it again later. I merged with a Buccanneer that because it was topless had nothing as "extra 1". I'll do it with my Oracle XS and see what happens.

@SummerFreeze, I tried merging my Kanjo with my Oracle XS and the spoiler still reappears even when I call it out with my mechanic. I guess it works different on pc.

Midnight Club also doesn’t feature murder and exploding cars. There’s maybe 6 car manufacturers in the entire world that would sell R* the license for their designs to feature in a GTA game.
