After many rumors, numerous delays, all roads and destinations have led us here. Sony takes the stage today to reveal the PS5. Xbox may have more power and teraflops but we're here for the games. Zello: "So the real reason why we're here. Sony has been hyping up the PS5 reveal for a while they've been silent all throughout it while the folks at Microsoft have shown their console and had a show recently. Sony has been promoting their event as "The future of gaming". Numerous leaks everywhere have said that there will be a lot of games revealed a big one was that supposedly a Rockstar title is getting revealed at the event due to an amazon listing showing 2 Rockstar titles for PS5. Many people are speculating that it's GTA VI, a New IP, or it's a remaster of GTA V yet again.

 

Len Lfc: "Personally with these events I can't get too hyped for them we've seen this time and time again people get excited thinking R* is going to show up they don't and get disappointed the cycle repeats itself E3, Gamescom, awards shows on and on. I'm going in expecting nothing, there will probably be nothing but at the same time I hope to be surprised. Maybe they do show up. No one is ever right or wrong. I hope I'm wrong."

 

RenegadeAngel:"I think it's a RDR2 PS5 remaster. That's probably the only thing that can explain that Amazon listing and make sense. The only thing is do they charge full price? Microsoft has Smart Delivery and Series X is backwards compatible. Apparently Sony is requiring all new PS4 games to be backwards compatable we'll find out more about it during the show hopefully. But if it ends up being backwards compatible I can't see them justifying charging full price unless they add some substantial additions to it."

 

LondonBoy: "I believe in GTA VI. I trust in my Preacher. Follow the preacher he is your salvation! I used to be a roadman robbin people on the roads an ting in South Brixton. But the Preacher saved me. PS5 reveal or not. At some point it's going to be announced. In our lord and savior The Preacher's name. Amen!"

 

Yolobigman: "I hope it happens. Personally I think it's going to be a video of Dan Houser with hookers and cocaine having fun the Sony guys freak out and think it's an error or someone hacked the show. But then at the end Dan Houser takes off his pants and says GTA VI coming soon and shows the logo on his GTA VI boxers along with a release date."

 

Zello:" I don't know what to expect to be honest. I'm more excited for the PS5 itself and the other games that are there. It'd be cool if Rockstar shows something if not whatever. I will be disappointed though if it's a GTA V or RDR2 Remaster like really? If you're not gonna show us something new then don't show up at all. I guess we'll find out in a couple hours!"

You see it's 2020 20/20/20. I can make a big boat float. So GTA 3 comes out on 20/20/20. You make the big plays early, execute early, and you get a brand new trailer in 1.5 seconds. Rockstar leads the industry in silence announcements so they're in the right place and right time. You see it time and time again they rush the game and make a touchdown. The type of offense that they run is truly beautiful to watch. They make house music and I ain't even been in a house!

There were only two Bethesda games that were confirmed coming with a known release date, Wolfenstein: Youngblood and Doom Eternal (which was supposed to release in 2019)

Those new placeholders are interesting, but there's a high chance nothing gets announced tomorrow.

I have my mop and bucket ready to clean up the tears if nothing happens. Just another day for GTAF staff.

Honestly, a completely new IP from Rockstar would have me really excited too. 

 

Judas could be 2k-related for all we know, but imagine if it was Agent, re-named :yee:

I'm really rolling with this to be honest, for multiple reasons.

 

A complete remaster of the whole 3D-universe (maybe except of the Stories).

 

III, VC and SA in current engines, nothing more, nothing less. Here's some arguments for it:

-It perfectly fits the project America's codename

-There's three placeholders on Amazon.

-To R*, this wouldn't be a major announcement like a new IP or VI, so this explains why they would do it on a reveal event like this.

-It would be a great way for them just to show the capabilities of their new engines and rev up the hype machine a bit.

-They have been working with Ruffian on remakes. Maybe it isn't RDR1 after all (or it could be both).

-This wouldn't extract the focus from GTAO too much, which is what TakeTwo wants

Well Online sure is profitable, maybe it makes sense to have remasters while you still milk Online but R* doesn't show love towards their older titles so I am ruling this one out.

Your first point makes sense. I'm adding it to the argument list if you don't mind.

The second point, I don't know man... If there's one thing we know, it is that they're not afraid of doing the unexpected thing.

As much as I'd love and play a RDR1 remaster, it will surprise me if that comes, considering we still can't even play GTA IV on the PS4 :(

They are not and remasters are a nice nostalgia cash in but I don't think they are going to do that.

Really starting to see things that don't exist probably, but preacher also has hinted to all cities/locations of the 3D-universe. Or at least we think.

I know you lads are probably sick of seeing me talk about this, but this is a big clue for tomorrow hopefully. 

This music does just not fit GTA or RD2. Unless GTA has some Friday the 13th update 

Could just be for a radio, but why would it have RP on it

 

Nothings confirmed but (Btw city morgue is a music duo) : rockstar

I just simply don't see the big picture here. We've said the announcement should have happened on 25th March or at least it was planned. Citymorgue insta post claims summer 2020 and we have a PS5 show today, on 11st June. It doesn't add up, what about the notorious 25th March? I think there is no correlation between citymorgue post and today's show.

March 25th thing was not officially confirmed or anything. But city morgue thingy is confirmed and playstation event is also confirmed. So we can put the two and two together
