very unlikely to be another rockstar title... but if it was it would probably be bully 2 but i definitely would not count on that. gta 6 is more likely than bully 2 right now it seems.

 

could also be rdr2 for the next gen consoles but including a remaster of a two year old game in tomorrow's online event would just be a waste of time. i'd expect tomorrow's event to only focus on truly next-gen stuff.

 

so really, we're probably getting no rockstar titles announced tomorrow, but i still aim to watch the event tomorrow because i do have some hope lol.

 

that's my two cents on the matter. hopefully tomorrow will not disappoint, even if we get no new rockstar games.

Looking back at this reply I dropped yesterday I never would have expected a GTA 5 remaster but in hindsight it does make sense now.

GTA Online is still a very active game and it only seems to get more popular each and every year, there's no reason for Rockstar to stop that train going in the next gen of consoles, especially because they don't have a game coming out soon in the pipeline (GTA 6 is still in earlyish development).

They want to keep the GTA Online train going until GTA 6 comes out and the fact that they're releasing GTA Online as a free? standalone supports that even further.

Yeah, I was angry 5 years ago. That's one of the early stages of the grieving process. This is just finally moving into acceptance. The company I loved 20 years ago no longer exists.

I'd say don't ever expect anything better than pc max ultra settings or sth similar to rdr2 graphics. Expecting something more than that is just delusion.

I don't know man. I feel like a LOT of people were let down by this announcement and many more will be when they here the news the next day. this is just insane.

i would understand something about rdr2 (i love this game) because i think next gen tech would rise this game to such a height that even the first party studios would have trouble to match its scope.but gta f*ckING FIVE?

The whole reason people review bombed steam was because of Open IV getting a cease and desist. You can't really review bomb over a remaster/port.

It means that they will charge you $50 for standalone GTA Online and $60 for GTA Online + GTA V

Ah yes, as much as I love Liberty City in Grand Theft Auto IV it's still a map from a 2008 game.
