Today I want to present to you my project "THE COUNCIL". Very thankful to @Platinum Card for translation first and second act into English. This project consist of three acts and first and second act are available now! Description of ACT 1: DEAD SOULS.

1989. 
There is the cold war between France and Germany, which was caused by the assassination of German diplomat Herold Muller in Paris. To resolve the conflict, William Mortimer, the richest English lord, invites the cream of society to another meeting, taking place on his personal island. Louis Degre was invited, but the purpose of his visit was not to spending time with the great minds of all of the time. Degre received a letter according to which the French politician Harry Degre, the father of Louis, disappeared on the island of Mortimer a few days ago. Louis is aware of his father belonging to a secret society, a collective of people who decide the fate of the world; Harry's son cannot even imagine the reason why his father disappeared. In any case, he goes to the mansion in order to solve this mystery. Communicating with the guests at this reception, Louis realizes that behind the beautiful outfits, lush hairstyles and manners are hidden paltry and long dead souls...

 

 

Description of ACT 2: WAR AND PEACE.

June 7, 1989.
A few days have passed since the arrival of Louis Degre on the island of Lord Mortimer. The atmosphere at the reception is becoming increasingly tense: relations between France and Germany are on the verge of transition from the Cold War to armed conflict, and relations between the guests are more and more reminiscent of theater performances. To help search for Harry Degre, the president of France, Francois Mitterrand, is arrives to the island. At the same time, Helmut Kohl, Chancellor of Germany, appeared in the mansion. Over time, Louis realizes that the disappearance of his father is no coincidence, and the oddities that occur during the presence of guests on the island have a certain pattern. In such circumstances, it becomes almost impossible to keep the situation under control, so Degre try to save a balance between war and peace...

 

List of invited guests.

- Louis Degre is the son of a member of a secret society and influential French politician. He went to the reception to find his father.

- Harry Degre is the father of the protagonist, Louis Degre. Suddenly disappeared from the island of Mortimer for an unknown reason.

- Joan Green is the representative of the interests of Her Majesty Queen Juliet III at the meeting.

- Father Pius XIII is a Pope. Arrived at the invitation of Sir Holm to discuss some business matters.

- George Herbert Bush is a President of the United States of America. He was invited by the Lord for the first time.

- Sajai VI is a King of Nigeria, a cruel and immoral dictator. Arrived on the island to discuss critical topics.

- Ion Iliescu is the head of the revolutionary sector of Romania. The reason for his arrival is still a mystery.

- Jean Bartoni is the supreme judge of the French Tribunal. Most likely, he was sent immediately after Harry Degre.

- Eleanor Kohl is the daughter of Helmut Kohl, the current Chancellor of Germany. She went to the reception with her father too.

- Francois Mitterrand is a President of France. He arrives on the island of Lord Mortimer in order to help in the search of Harry Degre and to resolve the conflict with Chancellor Kohl.

- Helmut Kohl is a Chancellor of a united Germany. He was invited to the meeting and arrived immediately after the letter sent by Lord Mortimer.

- Mikhail Gorbachev - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. Arrived on the island at the invitation of Lord Mortimer to attend the meeting.

It was a lot of fun working on the translation for this project. It's one of the most intriguing storyline's I've played in DYOM. With that I was able to invest time in understanding the characters, their motives, and the story itself. I hope that everyone is able to enjoy, share, and provide your feedback and commentary. I want to thank Курлыка for allowing me to translate his work and for the labor that went into the first two acts of this project. I like I'm sure many others will, look forward to Act III.

I really like the new cover art! I feel like a lot of people are not seeing this topic. Should it be moved to the Mission Showroom section?

 

Update:

If anyone experience any errors/mission crashes let us know. I experienced one while playing Act 2 last night, but managed to fix it. Sometimes there's a character limit per line of dialogue. If it's over a certain number it can cause a crash.
