I find it curious that this wasn't translated to Spanish. ITBEG is a bad example though - the mission name is never displayed, and SA will crosslink an empty mission name key to ITBEG. Are mission names ever saved with non-English text? Are mission names displayed in English when playing? I would expect the text shown on the load and save menu to be the same as the filename without the slot number and extension. On PC, mission names are saved in the current language. PC save filenames don't include any mission info (GTASAsf1.b). This might explain the slightly different behavior of GXT on PC and PS2, but I don't expect this to cause problems with the current scripts.

Yes, the name of the missions are displayed when you start one (in yellow over the black loading screen). In PAL always in English, no matter the language selected. So, when you save the name remains in English. I remember playing the game back in 2004 and noticing that. Edited July 3, 2020 by FF_Sefirot
